Ha im going to get like 99 insults for this, but i absolutly hate the vocals in this song. Talk about anti climatic. Lol When the vocals first come in they ruin the flow by going into a 6/8 sorta feel. Cradle's is better, they keep it straight forward, and crank that tempo.

Do you mean this live version or the album version? Live versions almost always differ sharply from the studio version, particularly if there's any gap (vocal chords can't be replaced as easily as guitar strings) or if the stage mikes are very different in their range and response. You also don't get retakes. My guess would be all of the above and then some. I like this live version, I like their album version perhaps a little better, it's all good.

Awesome song, but I hated the original recording...whoever produced it should have promptly lost their job. The Fire Still Burns has the potential to be mind-numbingly kickass, but the original recording job was just terrible.

I don't care how much their last two albums sucked - Twisted Sister kicked ass on their first three.

But honestly, Dee Snider needs to give it up...his voice is going, he's getting old, sometimes you just gotta know when to call it a day.
