such a massive shame that Tangerine Dream have turned into some kind of pop circus act, They used to be amaizing to watch. sort it out Edgar ! Does anyone know who actually composed this piece ?
Superb video, it matches the music perfectly. I have enjoyed TD for many years but I have only recently discovered this track, awesome! thank you for such a quality upload, Mike from South Wales.
i used to have the poster from the Dark Side Of The Moon LP by Pink Floyd and it was of the great pyramid and the surrounding desert in a green filter - i could listen to this and look at that poster - and i was there!
No drum solo which is a mistake not to include musical wonder. What happen, did you walk away and leave the most importain part of this song.Keep it to the original score.Excilent song.
Ehhhh, Fantastcio video e musica de TD. Pulgar encima! Os pulgares positivos sao mais importantes que os que votaram pulgares abaixo, que penso que sao amargurados ou mal amados!!! Viva o Brasil!
great vid, although for me :P i always imagined the song as being the end of the world.... as the song gets more intense, more destruction occurs and at the end when it starts getting windy and calmer is what is left of our dying world.... a green desert.
What I appreciate is the way you put this great video and music together. What I don't like is you erased quite a good part of the original piece. Great job anyway!
It's one of the greatest TD tracks, really! I had an amazing experience 10 days ago, flying over Europe, watching the sky and sunset along with this music.
the last 4 minutes are incredibly good. Probably mellotron strings with some flanging effect, surely deep moog basses and a minimoog solo (one of the best ever, even if very simple)
Because Logos and Exit outrun this by far imho. Not that this is a bad track tho i love synthesizer music, my gf is somewhat less found of it. So she has to put up allot with my taste JMJ,Tangerine dream,Vangelis, ectra
The story goes this was composed in the early 70ies but not released until 84? True or false?

let the full song go, what a terrible cut...sorry, but ouch. 25 year fan

I cut because of time-restricted on youtube.
Maximum time: 10:58
I would have done the video in full!
I saw some videos beyond this time limit, but I don't know how!

agreed, but you cant upload on youtube videos longer than some 10 minutes. it's been since a year or so :(

Thank you for putting these beautiful awe-inspiring images to one of the best pieces of Tangerine Dream. Pure pleasure to watch and listen.

Gloomy (dark) atmospheric track that turns into a slow paced, elegant rock guitar performance (somewhat like a Pink Floyd track, without vocals.
"Green Desert" was recorded back in 1973, but not released until 1984 or 1986.
... I always think of the full moon rising above the horizon, when I hear this one;-)

Thank you for posting this! This is definitely one of my favorite Tangerine Dream pieces. I don't understand why it isn't given more attention.
