  • what wheels are these?

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • nice, but where did u get ur shocks from, autozone?

  • What? You couldn't find a Mazda Miata. kidding, good show!

  • Man, i wouldn be going so fast in those turns ,not with a suspension that "woblee" that shit when it gets loose , its nearly impossible to recover at Mudholand. Not with out having a few scares!!

  • Make the suspension stiffer. but that car sounds amazing!

  • lol @ doing engine mods before suspension mods...

  • Suspension left stock?

  • that is sexy, its like the 300zx and the 1970 charger or camaro had a baby

  • He cant Drive o.o

  • why bother swapping an LS6? Might as well get the watered down LS6 (LS1) if you plan on modding it, otherwise its just a waste of money since your paying extra for (H/C/I) that your gonna drop anyway. Still... very nice ride!

  • WANT.

  • Hey guys look i can do a wheelie to

  • so..... sexy...

  • why not buy e-type and swap ls6. datsun is ugly as hell and have cheap copy of e-type

  • @UunonMopo what\s funny is that we have a completely different view of these two cars....i adore the flamboyand curve design of the e-type but i favor the sharper more aggressive shape of the 280z

  • 0:10 looks like its about to fly away haha

  • something wild just happened in my pants

  • Deaf people are asking WHAT SO COOL ABOUT IT?

  • nice car... but yet another driver going over the double yellow lines :(. Slow down if you can't handle it

  • 240zs are the best looking cars

  • It's sitting way to high.

  • Nice car, but popup ads on a 15 second video?? Ruins it.

  • @MiG2880 Firefox + AdBlock Plus plugin = no more ads, ever.

  • struts work way better than leaf springs ... nice car though

  • what did they use for struts? sponges? O.o

  • this car may get to 175mph!

  • All I can say is,"SICK"!

  • he built that suspension from his left over matress. sit n sleep wouldn't give him shit for it, thats why.

  • the best I have seen a car do the run unlike all the rest of the rich fucks

  • how much does it weigh with the ls1 in it?

  • @firechicken76 this one weighs 2500 LBS with no driver, little gas, most of the interior removed and no bumpers.

  • @firechicken76 WOW, light.

  • @firechicken76 the same! If not a few lbs lighter

  • that was just fckn loud

  • I'm looking to buy/build a 280z v8, but don't have a clue where to find a reputable shop etc. to find one. Can you help point me in the right direction?? Any help you can give me would be great. My email is boatmine@comcast.net. Thanks!

  • @oauchie well with that limited knowledge .... YOU'RE FUCKED ! lollololol

  • now thats a sick car. ive always wanted to get one of those and drop a ls7 in it or something.

  • corvette engine?? THIS IS MADDNESS!!!......no this is CHEVY!!

  • I LOVE that sound.

  • [RETTY KOO" TO JUST SEE A DATSUN COME OUTTA NO WHERE LIK THAT! (;

  • Suspension is too soft dude and you need an aerokit. good work in progress

  • That was amazing!

  • That girl wants some traction bars :)

  • Exactly how do you put traction bars on an independent rear suspension?

  • Ladder bars make more sense? Forgot it's an IRS setup.

  • There you go! But stiffer variable rate springs and stronger dampeners would go a long way. Rear springs are definitely way to spongy.

  • There's one of these SBC powered Z cars in Anchorage, AK. One of those things where you see the z and look for the source of the sound in disbelief.

  • I've seen two SBC "Scarab" Zs in Portland since I got mine. When it rumbles up next to you, you tend to do a double take. When it simply vanishes over the horizon while you're still hammering through the gears, you feel like you just experienced the second coming. :)

  • car not made for corners :P it's like a ship in water :D

  • But the sound of the engine in corners.... lovely! Specially the AMG (C63)!

  • @Tovkal I agree ;)

  • Actually the car does amazing corners, just not this one since its obvious his suspension is ultra soft and high..

  • @decootie ROFL! SOOO MUCh BODy ROLL!!!!! not even hard corners, and its about to flip..haha

  • this car won 10 consecutive years of scc motor cross racing in it's class, other cars in its class that were beaten included Lancia, Lotus, and Porsche. The suspension is just 30 years old and stock, need to be upgraded and tightened up.

  • HELL YES

  • haha thats my ride! So like Shnake said it was stock suspension from 1975...coilovers and Wilwoods now! Car is freakin amazing is all I can say!

  • The reason why the car rolls so much is because it was on completely stock worn out 30 something year old suspension. He's got a coilovers now, along with big brake kit.

  • Good lookin out Dima!

  • Car is hot. Fix the suspension and it's quite simply awesome.

  • This needs some attention to the suspension. And then it needs nothing else, because it is awesome.

  • @CDMVette No shit. So awesome.

  • Put an LS1 in every damn thing ever! Can't go wrong.

  • keep it in your own lane

  • Bouncy as hell, lots of body roll!

  • My boy is doin that swap to his 240z right now.

  • Three words.....Awesome Exhaust Note!!!!!!

  • Dual 3" Electric Cutouts 2 ft behind the collectors...basically straight piped =D

  • i would fuck that so hard.

  • get that thing stable and you've got yourself a raped ape! nice...

  • is this safe?

  • safe? i don't know. Fun? hell yes!

  • look like it needs the suspension stiffened up a bit, firmer shocks would help.

  • wheels are too big

  • did you change the suspension set-up? I don't remeber that much body roll in a 280?

  • @jamesjdm that's called worn springs and shocks. Also the extra weight of the engine probably doesn't help.

  • first part is correct...second part, not so much. Engine is aluminum and much lighter than the boat anchor six it replaced...also sits with 50/50 weight distrubution, 2500lbs, 420rwhp.. =D

  • Yes the L28 is a somewhat heavy motor, but where your wrong is the stock motor in the stock chassis was a 50/50 balance, unless you modified the way it mounts a lot of the 350 / ls motors those usually have more weight in the rear, i think like a 48 front and 52 rear similar to a 911

  • Mine weighed 1290#s front and 1280#s rear (no one in car) with the battery relocated to the trunk area. I have sinced put the battery back to the stock location because the car was rear heavy by 40#s with me in it (I'm 170#s). This car is pretty gutted and now sits almost perfect 50/50 with me in it. (depending on how much gas it has)

  • "the extra weight of the engine probably doesn't help. " an Ls6 weighs as much as an Ls1 + or - a few pounds, an Ls1 only weighs a grand total of 30 to 35 pounds more than a NA L28 and almost dead even with a turbo L28. The weight difference is less than 3% added to the front and less than 1.5% to the Total weight.

  • stock has a lot of roll

  • lol think of all that weight though... that old chassis wasnt built for that kind of power, need to stiffen it up.

  • @jamesjdm try puttin some power on that stock 280 setup.... that big beefy v8s gonna be hell on it lol

  • @jamesjdm

probably the huge weight from the V8 has affected things

  • @Precisionstonemaul the LS-series V8 is lighter than the stock L28. the L28 + its 5spd transmission is 528lb. the LS engines weigh about 400lbs, and the 6spd T56 weighs about 115. you could even use a TKO-600 tranny, which is about 100lb.

  • vroom vroom

  • Sounds and looks gorgeous! Beautiful rims too!
