saw Ella Fitzgerald sing from a wheel chair in her "declining" years at the Greek Theatre in L.A. many years ago...she sounded 23.....known widely for her ability to scat, she was even more amazing at simply singing a ballad like this...to me, anyway

@divanola Love Ella but everyone must know when to quit whether it is an athlete, a dancer or a singer. In her older years she would have been great if it was your grandmother singing at a wedding for a novelty, but honestly, the gal should have quit while she was ahead. She was unsurpassed in her genre at her peak. Still my favourite singer of all time. Sorry if I put fans noses out of joint, but if you thought she sounded 23, good luck to you.
