Ok... I've gone through almost all Pillar videos, especially this album. I like it, and I see why people like it. But come on! it´s no "Headbangers Ball"... And I know its Christian Rock, but I don't find it so, maybe its 'cause I'm not that religious myself but still... It´s not that heavy, though it could be, and not as epic. It sounds a lot like many others band I know but not as good...Breaking Benjamin, Lostprophets etc... I LIKE, but its not as good as all those Christians make it out to b

It's a song. And the lyrics aren't only christian. Lyrics are generalized. A good lyric-writer will make the meaning generalized, so more people can relate to it.
I'm not Christian, Atheist or anything else. I am not a believer in religion, though I love to learn on different religions.
And, I've read some comments below and neither sciences or God created our minds.
My theory is that the world is created since forever. There was no beggining and never will there be an end. Life is a unending cycle. We come to life, we live, we give birth and we die. And the babies we gave birth to do the same and so on.
I say there was no beginning to the world. I have no proof, but I believe in it as hard as if my ass would have been frozen for a million years.
I don't know if I should be taking offense through this. I've been posting quite a few of the comments but 777jesusfreak started talking about god and everything and I just couldn't stand the fact that no one talked back. Then Pillar77 decided to continue the argument after jesusfreak had chickened out.

Read over what you said again, the "we give birth" part, that is what I was "making fun" of. Not once did I say a woman can make a child alone, but men don't "give birth" to the children either, that's the woman's job.

@Crossaix you say you want paradise now, but i don't think you truly understand what the good news is, and what makes paradise; paradise, Ive told you before that God is the source of all life, you have hungers,(or desires) and as a witness i know Jesus is the bread of life able to sustain all of you, and this Jesus wants to live inside of you, but if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
Christ suffering, is his love for this world, so he came to this world and choose to suffer with it, so that others may have the right, to enter paradise, he loved God with everything and he loved others as himself and no greater love then one who lays down his life for others.
You say that I don't want Jesus to be real. I can't say that I agree with you on that point. Sure, I choose not to believe in him but that doesn't mean that I specifically doesn't want him to be real. If he was real he'd have some things to defend himself for though (My first quesytion to him when I'd see him would be "Why did you hate gays (And probably crossadressers) when you yourself spent quite some time with twelve guys in dresses?")

Ok, let's take that thing about Eden, he put a tree there to give us the free will to either be unknowing of all the knowledge in the world and thus be allowed to stay in paradise or become cunning and get thrown out, why won't he give me that choice now? If I'd get that choice I'd totally choose to live in paradise with a good looking guy. But no, instead he figures that Adam and Eve chose knowledge so every other man must do so too. you miss understood what i was saying again, the tree did not give us freewill, it gave us knowledge of everything we lack without God, so man tried to make up for what they lack, because they were faithless they did not think God was reliable, so they relied on themselves; lets take the fact they were naked, by themselves they had no dignity, but God made up for that lack, with himself or should i say his power.
so you see, we show we are ready for paradise with our faith, and in a way i have paradise here on earth, but i still have to pay the price for other peoples, short comings, but i suppose you cant get pass the fact you only want God for what he can give you, but if we don't take it with God, it wont last, i mean look around you, the world was a gift and paradise was right here on earth, but we turned it in to a hole, its always been God's plan to make earth paradise as well.
but if he does not have the right kind of people, people with faith, we will corrupt paradise and turn paradise, into hell, and thats all hell is, a place were people only rely on themselves, look at the earth around you, can you imagine if we did not die, am sure you've seen end of the world movies, can you imagine living in a world like that, it would be an unspeakable hell.
To all people who may read this, no one needs to defend God, God can defend himself, its not a sin to say "i dont have faith, your gonna have to make me believe God" but be prepared for the truth, anyone who loves this life will lose it, but anyone who despises this life will live it for eternal life.

If children who die are actually blessed because they are allowed to go to heaven straight away, why does he force the rest of us to live in this world? It's a song. And the lyrics aren't only christian. Lyrics are generalized. A good lyric-writer will make the meaning generalized, so more people can relate to it.

And, I've read some comments below and neither sciences or God created our minds.
My theory is that the world is created since forever. There was no beggining and never will there be an end. Life is a unending cycle. We come to life, we live, we give birth and we die. And the babies we gave birth to do the same and so on.
I say there was no beginning to the world. I have no proof, but I believe in it as hard as if my ass would have been frozen for a million years.

@Crossaix ive told you about one half of the tree; evil(or lack) now let me tell you about the other half of the tree an why it is bad, now God commanded Adam to be intimate with eve and to protect the Garden, and since Adam did not see the benefit of doing it, Adam became a delinquent out of his own faithlessness, he did not trust God wanted the best for him, of course now we know how pleasurable sex is, and we do all sorts of evil things to get it, thats why the good half was bad.

And you mentioned Jesus a few days ago so I figured I could say something on that as well.
As far as I know, he wound up saying "God, why have you forsaken me?", doesn't this mean that he lost faith in the end? Does that mean that he went to hell? OR did he simply not get to choose to live in paradise like I will when I die (According to you)?

@Crossaix you say you want paradise now, but i don't think you truly understand what the good news is, and what makes paradise; paradise, Ive told you before that God is the source of all life, you have hungers,(or desires) and as a witness i know Jesus is the bread of life able to sustain all of you, and this Jesus wants to live inside of you, but if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.

Christ suffering, is his love for this world, so he came to this world and choose to suffer with it, so that others may have the right, to enter paradise, he loved God with everything and he loved others as himself and no greater love then one who lays down his life for others.

Sure, I choose not to believe in him but that doesn't mean that I specifically doesn't want him to be real. If he was real he'd have some things to defend himself for though (My first quesytion to him when I'd see him would be "Why did you hate gays (And probably crossadressers) when you yourself spent quite some time with twelve guys in dresses?")

Ok, we need to share Jesus' suffering to share his glory. I suppose that's a good deal. But truth to be told, he could have just skipped his suffering and madeall of us get his glory (Without him or the rest of us suffering).
I assume God should be a supreme being of ultimate knowledge, and yet he couldn't figure out that? What'd I miss?

he tried too; my friend, in the garden of eden, but again freewill played a big part, now let me explain further freewill is a necessary part of love, and don't you dare tell me love is evil, i thank God, that i am able to love, God could not force love, other wise he would not be loving himself, so he put the tree of good and evil in the garden, which gave us the knowledge to be independent and with one act of independence(which they did) created dissatisfaction, and thus be control by them.

broke God's heart in a unbelievable way, but he could not get man to turn to him and trust him to take care of them, yes man loved themselves more then they love others let alone God, creation itself was paying the price, so God had to save it from us, in noah's days.

this is the proof of God's sustaining power, and that is Jesus, he was single, he fasted for 40 days and 40 nights because he knew God would take care of him and tho he was innocent they unjustly killed him, and tho he had a desire for justice God sustained that desire for our benefit, but despite that, he had a inexpressible joy(which i witness too) that could only come from God, he took up his cross denied himself and trusted God to take care of him.

and this proof continues today, from those who truly follow his example, they are lights for all of you who are dissatisfied, they live there lives not for themselves yet they are happy, with an inexpressible joy, and in a way; its not self denying, but self seeking through seeking God and i witness to this fact of ecstasy that comes from God's presence in my life, that only intensifies as i get closer and closer to him.

Ok, let's take that thing about Eden, he put a tree there to give us the free will to either be unknowing of all the knowledge in the world and thus be allowed to stay in paradise or become cunning and get thrown out, why won't he give me that choice now? If I'd get that choice I'd totally choose to live in paradise with a good looking guy. But no, instead he figures that Adam and Eve chose knowledge so every other man must do so too. you miss understood what i was saying again, the tree did not give us freewill, it gave us knowledge of everything we lack without God, so man tried to make up for what they lack, because they were faithless they did not think God was reliable, so they relied on themselves; lets take the fact they were naked, by themselves they had no dignity, but God made up for that lack, with himself or should i say his power.

so you see, we show we are ready for paradise with our faith, and in a way i have paradise here on earth, but i still have to pay the price for other peoples, short comings, but i suppose you cant get pass the fact you only want God for what he can give you, but if we don't take it with God, it wont last, i mean look around you, the world was a gift and paradise was right here on earth, but we turned it in to a hole, its always been God's plan to make earth paradise as well.

As for me loving this life more than I love God... Well, I can't know that he exists so it's kinda hard for me to love him more than my own life.
If he'd shown himself to me, saying that he created the universe and life on Earth etc. then I might love him more than myself. But then again, he'd have to explain why he hated gays back in the days, and why he hated infidels etc.
But sure, show yourself to me, explain those things and then I might love you more than I love myself.

If children who die are actually blessed because they are allowed to go to heaven straight away, why does he force the rest of us to live in this world? Evidently, some people doesn't want to (Considering the people who commit suicide...). Truth to be told, I'd be quite grateful if he'd kill me and made sure that I'd live in paradise for all eternity.

am sure you know the story of Moses, God made himself undeniably real to the Israelites, but they hated him for it, kept complaining, and actually wanted to go back to there old lives in Egypt, in the end he had to respect their demand for independence from himself, but Moses wanted God so much, he demanded to see God face to face, he was one of the riches men in Egypt, yet he was welling to give it all up to be close to God.

Ok, God doesn't want me to be independent because it proves that I don't believe in him, correct? And he wants me to believe in him.
In my opinion, the best way for him ot make people such as me believe in him would be to actually show himself. Why would he show himself only to those who believe in him already? He won't get any more believers that way...
