If you wanna see a "so bad it's good" movie may I recommend John Carpenter's Prince Of Darkness. It is crazy awesome. It made me wonder if all so-bad-it's-good movies are made by brilliant directors with tiny budgets.

The guy that gets eaten by the shark in the beginning of this movie was actually supposed to have been Roy Scheider's character from the first one, but he wisely chose not to reprise his role. The writers had to write him out somehow so they had the Brody character died of a heart attack.

great review you really should go and see jaws one of my fav films but i think thats because i saw it at 8 and it made sutch a huge impact on me that i will love it forever and not in a bad way im not scared of the water or sharks in fact for a wile i was facinated by sharks one more point that i think you made but you could have just pwnd with is this its just a fucking shark ok its big but just get some guns or a harpoon and kill that motherfucker

Michael Cain's shirt was dry when he came out of the water. XD. Roger Ebert pointed that out in the Siskel and Ebert review of the movie. Oh and the shark roaring is probably the most retarted thing I have ever seen in movie history.

Hey guys, stop hating. At least this guy has the guts to see The Godfather. I haven't either, but I have seen Jaws.

To clarify something for Matthew...Chief Brody (the husband of Mrs. Brody) killed the shark in the first film and in the second film. The flashback of the explosion you saw in this movie is directly attributed to Brody killing the shark in the first film by...well, I don't want to reveal too many spoilers.

But I think we can both agree...Jaws The Revenge sucked. Bad. The end.

You've summed it up pretty damn well, CM. Jaws the Revenge is an unbelievable mess of a movie, and is quite simply THE reason there was never a Jaws 5. Jaws 2 was redundant.... Jaws 3-D was bad enough... but Revenge is piss awful!

Rent the original Jaws to wash the taste of this movie out of your mouth. And set aside 3 hours and see The Godfather!

But yes, for me, what bothered me the most wasn't the plot holes, the dumb as rocks family, the general disgrace to the original...no, what bugged me was the ludicrous idea that A SHARK WAS CAPABLE OF TAKING REVENGE. A SHARK'S BRAIN IS MAYBE THE SIZE OF A GOLFBALL. A SHARK IS NOT CAPABLE OF AVENGING OTHER SHARKS.

Apparently, though, originally the shark was under a voodoo curse which dictated its actions. Makes perfect sense, right?
