Bret was so proud of his WWF roots. It's a shame Vince screwed him from the time he turned the entire US against him as a heel to the time he buried him intentionally at Survivor Series so he wouldn't be an asset for WCW. Remember, WCW nearly put Vince out of business, there was no way he was going to let Bret go there and potentially help them make that happen. He hated WCW and was the mastermind behind ruining Bret from the time he first turned heel. Vince knew what he was doing.

But in the interview he said he wanted to powerbomb Bret, and then as he was on his way to exit the cage door, the Undertaker would drag him under the ring, thus allowing Bret time to exit the cage, winning the match.

But Bret's ego got in the way. At that stage, Scott Hall was in talks to go to WCW, and after this incident, Nash decided he was leaving too.

the only reason he didnt is situational he already beat HBK at mania to retain his gold so its HBK who coudlnt beat diesel for belt... Undertaker never had the title when diesel was around and Bret had creative control and said he wouldnt lose to diesel faily so they always ad DQs or this or that unless bret was the victor. a practice HHH would later use.

@cstring420 the difference was that JBL then crawled out from under the apron thus truly being "out of the ring" you see he wasn't declared the winner till that occurred. deisel might have had his feet touch the ground, but he did not make it "all the way out" to earn him him the victory. you can't call that which you technically don't see.
