@tclol1 they had removable floor on that section of ring in terms of the wood, so taker just had to cut the ring mat which is comparatively thin. and yes
I was in the house that night at Louisville Gardens. No one saw that ending coming. Great night of entertainment during the WWE/F golden years. And @thenewjord50, Taker was flipping Diesel off in response to Diesel doing it to him at Royal Rumble '96 for costing him the title with Bret. Just not in the usual way.
Bret was so proud of his WWF roots. It's a shame Vince screwed him from the time he turned the entire US against him as a heel to the time he buried him intentionally at Survivor Series so he wouldn't be an asset for WCW. Remember, WCW nearly put Vince out of business, there was no way he was going to let Bret go there and potentially help them make that happen. He hated WCW and was the mastermind behind ruining Bret from the time he first turned heel. Vince knew what he was doing.
There was a shoot interview with Kevin Nash, that has now been deleted from YouTube. But in the interview he said he wanted to powerbomb Bret, and then as he was on his way to exit the cage door, the Undertaker would drag him under the ring, thus allowing Bret time to exit the cage, winning the match.
But Bret didn't like that idea as it made him look bad. The Undertaker and Diesel wanted to do business for their match at Wrestlemain, as Diesel had screwed the Undertaker at the 1996 Royal Rumble. But Bret's ego got in the way. At that stage, Scott Hall was in talks to go to WCW, and after this incident, Nash decided he was leaving too.
@filthyralph Don't believe everything that Nash says. This is the guy who denies having a hand in booking the match in which he ended Goldberg's streak. Yeah right!
Wiki info: en.wikipedia. org/wiki/In_Your_House #In_Your_House_6 Now lets check at OWW: onlineworldofwrestling. com/results/ wweppv/inyourhouse6.html Plus IMDB: imdb. com/title/tt0302003/
Man I was at this pay-per-view. We were sitting on the floor about fifteen rows back and couldn't see what happened. I had to watch it when i got home just to see what really happened!
the only reason he didnt is situational he already beat HBK at mania to retain his gold so its HBK who coudlnt beat diesel for belt... Undertaker never had the title when diesel was around and Bret had creative control and said he wouldnt lose to diesel faily so they always ad DQs or this or that unless bret was the victor. a practice HHH would later use.
@stinkoman78 Even so, Diesel's feet would've, technically, touch the floor on the outside. I refer you to the Barbed Wire Steel Cage match between JBL and Big Show.
@cstring420 the difference was that JBL then crawled out from under the apron thus truly being "out of the ring" you see he wasn't declared the winner till that occurred. deisel might have had his feet touch the ground, but he did not make it "all the way out" to earn him him the victory. you can't call that which you technically don't see.
@stinkoman78 no even if we get technical bret won the match bcoz diesel's feet despite hitting the floor he wasn't out of the ring he was still inside the cage only if he'd have been out of the cage or out of the ring apron from beneath diesel would have won....remember jbl vs big show match at no way out, jbl won fair n square coz he was out of the ring apron after being chokeslammed by big show by getting landed beneath the ring !
hay fuck head this came from this came from one of nashs shoot interveiws bret didnt want 2 put anybody over .before you start mouthing off you should think first dipshit
this match is where brett pissed off nash and taker diesel was supposed 2 jackknife brett and be the clear cut winner and walk towards the door and then get pulled under by taker 2 get diesle back for fuckn him over would of been great but brett wined and cried and it happened the way it did
I can understand why Diesel was upset with Bret. But lets be honest here, do you think Diesel would have done the same thing for bret without complaining? I mean Diesel powerbombed Bret two times in an unscripted event in the match where he had to drop the strap to Bret.
You probably never seen independent wrestling, sometimes even if action is pretty good - commentators can bored you to death or make you mad about they stupid comments)
man this lukd so surreal bak in d days n still does, i remember my elder bruv used 2 support diesel n i used 2 bak taker n wen dis happened my bruv was truly impressed wid taker, Undertaker the gr8est character created by WWE!!
