  • wow to go .stunning smile :)

  • Have you tried TAE-BO? with Billy Blanks? I started out with tae-bo workouts such as amplifier, bootcamp etc and they really kick your ass! Most of the workouts are cardio based so you will burn alot! I would totally recommend it. The only thing in my opinion it lacks is the way p90x baby steps you all through the 90 day process with what workout to do and what to eat etc. With Tae-bo you have to build yourself a program that suits you. However tae-bo does teach you online about nutrition.

  • Can i be your BF plzz?Ur so pretty and seem like a nice, cool fun girl. hahahaha

  • Wow your really pretty, love your smile.

  • @krazylacrosse19 Thank you so much! I appreciate that! :)

  • Long time no talk! How did Barry's bootcamp compare to P90X ultimately?

  • @paraisoat There's really no comparison... the programs are so different! Barry's Bootcamp is mainly interval training, and the workouts are kind of short. You use bands and a stability ball. P90X has harder, longer workouts, focusing more on weights and less on interval/cardio. It really depends on what a person's goals are and what kind of trainer they like.... I love Tony H. myself!

  • I saw some previews of Barry's Bootcamp, and it seemed gimmicky... but yeah, Tony is the man! Can't wait to work out with him in April! Did you decide to become BBC yet? Are you going to Summit?

  • you are a cutie pie, remind me of Rachel McAdams..... keep up the good work

  • That's quite a compliment... thank you! I'm still plugging away at my workouts too. Thanks for watching!

  • ok....ya I couldn't listen to him

  • Muscle weighs more then fat remember that..

  • barry's bootcamp is awesome!!!!

you chose to put clips of barry on your commentary that make him seem weird. he isn't odd at all. i find he's very encouraging.

  • Barry's actual workouts really are sweat-inducing! I found them interesting and challenging for the most part. It reminded me of P90X Plyo-lite. :)

As for Barry- it's all a matter of preference. His personality and motivation style isn't exactly my cup of tea (I find it motivating when the trainers do the workouts) but it's super awesome that he motivates and encourages *you!* That's all that matters!

  • yeah, i like tonys personality in the videos, this barry seems almost just there perving on the girls and saying sleazy stuff. those clips you just showed seemed...wrong...lol

p90x plus has a good interval system, ill check the other videos to see how you go with this one. sometimes when starting the first stages of a weights program you do start to hold a lot of water.

keep it up, your videos are great!

  • Tony freakin' cracks me up- his sense of humor is much like mine.

I've heard awesome things about P90X+, and I do have Kenpo Cardio+ (it's good!) As for programs, I'm going for Insanity next. I'm looking forward to it! I'll more than likely record a video about it when I start (if it doesn't kill me.) lol

  • You are funny, Girl! I never saw this one. Hillarious! Yeah P90x personality wins, I gotta say! Are you doing Insanity yet? Cardio Interval training glaore! I gotta check your more up to date videos.

  • No, I'm not doing Insanity... I take it you are though? Are you loving it?!

Glad you liked this vid- Barry was indeed a bit strange in his workout videos, but at least I always broke a good sweat doing them! That's the most important thing. I'm seriously missing my Tony Horton though... I'm thinking I may need to do KenpoX tomorrow. :)

  • Yes, doing Insanity and yes, totally loving it! 3.5 weeks in and I am finally SEEING results, before it was all in the improvement of performance. You might start liking Shaun T if you wver get into the Insanity! :) i'm doing a near daily you tube vlog on my journey and there are bunch of others doing the same if you are curious :)

  • Barrys Bootcamp Is The SHIT!!!!

  • The workouts actually were pretty good- Barry himself is just kinda weird. lol

  • how old are you?

  • OMGosh.

    OMGosh.

    O.........M.........Gosh, Angelee

OK, you seriously need to put together a compliation video of this Barry character. I seriously think I would go through the program just watching this guy. It's like watching a train wreck - it's uncomfortable and awkward, but you can't look away!

This vid is definetly one of your "greatest hits"!

  • Hahaha Shaun.... YOU HEART BARRY!!!!!

His voice is annoying. From time to to time I would do an impersonation of him while I was at work. I'd just be sitting at my desk and break into my best Barry voice and say something dumb. It made my coworker laugh (even though she probably secretly wanted to smack me upside the head.)

I'm glad you enjoyed watching Barry once again in this video! Remember it's always here for you if you start to miss him.

  • I absolutely love your hair this color. You are alot like me in changing your color/cut alot. This is my fav though on you. Good luck with everything. Being a mom myself, I have found Lotte Berk Method (pilates/stretching) is amazing for ab work. I haven't ever been that sore after using anything else on my core.

  • Ok, what the heck. I know I responded to this comment... it must have never posted! My apologies!

Thank you for the hair compliment- I change it constantly. It's now asymmetrical and blonde again. lol I just can't sit still with my hair- it's too fun to change.

Pilates really is an amazing core workout- I've done it a bit (but never the Lotte Berk Method.) I love getting that good burn in the ab area- makes me feel like I'm really *workin' it*!

  • Hey Angelee I think you should have taken a before and after tracking of your body fat and body fat% I think it's hard to continue when you don't feel the results are there and having your body fat weight to compare with shows you real numbers. The nutrition plan is also just as important I dont know if you followed it but I am back into P90x after bowing out after phase one and I am set with all I need nutrition wise and motivational wise. Hope you continue the P90x way and stay fit.

  • I had already bought a lot of equipment and didn't want to invest in a body fat analyzer... I definitely did track weight, measurements and I took photos along the way when I did P90X. I followed a pretty strict diet plan as well. The diet wasn't as good when I did Barry's Bootcamp because it was the holiday season. I'm doing Turbo Jam now and I love it!!

    Good luck with P90X!

  • I think I bowed out on my first round due to not following the nutrition plan. This time I dumped some more cash into it so I bought some supplements a food scale and WW body fat scale. I hate how it is so costly to try and be fit. If your ever feeling crazy again Tony now has One on One DvD's which I saw and they scare me just as much as P90x Plus.

Hopefully I can commit this time as I have 2 of my friends and my g/f doing their own P90x plans everyday as well.

  • I am currently doing the P90X program as well, but had been working with Turbo Jam for almost a year and a half prior to it. Turbo jam was a lot of fun, and a good way to stay fit a healthy. And as I am sure you already know, there are enough workouts to keep it interesting for quite a while. Best of luck!

  • I'm doing Turbo Jam now and I love it!! I get such a good sweat going with it... it's awesome! I do like to switch it up and change programs every couple of months so my body doesn't get too accustomed to one thing, plus just to keep it interesting.

Good luck to you with P90X!

  • If you want to step up the cardio on Turbo Jam, a one pound weight on each hand or wrist, and a two pound weight on each ankle increases the intensity. You can but them off the Turbo Jam site, but they are much cheaper at Walmart. :-)

  • My Turbo Jam set actually came with wrist weights- I've been using them a good bit. But I'm an old pro with them- I had my own pair I used with Kenpo during P90X as well! Great way to burn more calories!! :)

  • i was thinking of getting does barrys bootcamp really work

  • I didn't get much out of it, but in all fairness I did the program during the holiday season and I wasn't eating fantastically. I'm sure if you are diligent you can get good results with it. The workouts did make me sweat and they were a nice length (Barry is just kind of annoying.) lol

    Good luck!

  • Hi I just have a couple questions! Im pregnant and plan on doing p90x with my husband after baby is born, but I was wondering about the Weight Watchers program. Do you do the online thing? How much is it all together? What do you do? Sorry just got done watching all your vid and you have inspired me! thanx and take care! ohhh and yes keep doing more vid i wanna see the final final results.

  • I actually attend WW meetings- I do better with staying on track that way. :) I do a discount program through my insurance, but I think regular cost is about $40/month for meetings and etools. I recommend the meetings- they help tremendously with accountability and motivation. There is a lot of info on what to expect at meetings and the WW program on their web site. :)

I'll keep recording for sure... everyone on here helps keep me in line!

Good luck to you and your husband with the X!

  • Great to see your videos; you're such a cutie!

It's so neat to hear you're using Barry's Bootcamp as I was considering getting P90X for myself and Barry's Bootcamp for my son. So I'd love to have updates and will have to see what else you have online here. It's surprising that you actually gained 10 lbs with P90X. I would suggest that you weigh yourself each and every day. Some say not and some say yes, and I firmly believe that it should be done each and everyday at the same time.

  • Hey, thanks for stopping by and watching my vid! P90X is awesome and you most likely will love it. It's a lot of work for sure, but it produces results. As for Barry's Bootcamp, after about 6 or so weeks I couldn't take it anymore. lol If you do get it for your son I'm curious if he'll like it. The program is kind of geared towards women (one exercise is even named 6-inch heels!) :P

Good luck to both of you!

  • Thanks so much for writing. Oh, I didn't know that, about it being geared for women. So why did u give it up, was it Barry's voice? I thought that that was just how he was in the infommercial -- like Tony Little (another nut case, ha!). ~ John

  • Haha... I just got bored with it after a while, that tends to happen with me. P90X is the only program that didn't bore me. And I'm not saying that your son will dislike Barry OR his bootcamp... he may love it! The exercises make you sweat a lot and the 2 core workouts are only about 25 minutes. Every workout in P90X is 45 mins+, so the shorter workouts may be beneficial.

  • Ive been doing p90x, and I've been losing weight and getting stronger. my power point presentation is in progress.

  • Hey just seen your video and even with bowing out you still look great. Im on my kinda first week of P90X i started back in jan but took my time getting used to the workouts so now im hardcore. Weight gain. Just wanted to reassure you your not the only one. I've been gaining and gaining and wont let myself even go near the scale but i know im kicking butt.

  • Thank you for the encouragement... I am trying not to obsess about the scale, but I am staying aware of it. Even though I gained weight with P90X, I did feel great while I did it! I felt really strong.

Good luck with the program! Hope you love it!!

  • Wow, did you do classic or lean?

Your face looks great- absolutely the image of health. I wouldn't worry about the number on the scale. Classic will put some mass on you, but you will be in amazing shape. The number on the scale is just a number. How you look and feel is what counts.

  • It doesnt discourage me because when i joined the army i was kinda scawny not in shape and i ended graduating basic weighting 10 pounds more. So good luck with the program and you know what it doesnt matter as long as your ok with what your doing and feel your doing the best for your body. Cheers!

  • I completed Lean and did one round of Classic. I know I shouldn't have worried so much about the scale, and it wouldn't even have been a huge issue if I would have felt a big change in the way clothes fit or my measurements. I just never really saw any of that so I backed off.

Thank you for the encouragement (and the compliment!) Much appreciated. :)

  • did you follow the p90x diet?

  • no, not specifically. I followed weight watchers through the first half of P90X, then I upped my calories a little bit because I thought maybe I wasn't getting enough. I gained weight both ways. However, I did lose fat.

  • OMGosh - all I can say is... What? Barry's no Bob is he? :P

  • hahaha Barry is a li'l SCARY. He doesn't come near Bob. I haven't even done Barry's Bootcamp in months- I couldn't handle his voice anymore!!!

  • Can you tell me what you eat in a typical day so I can get an idea, b/c I think I can help you. A lot of diets don't work, low-carb, low-fat or w/e. It doesn't even matter the calories, it matters exactly what the food is, even a lot of so called "diet-foods" are bad for you and actually cause you to gain weight.

  • I actually don't eat a ton of "diet" food. I avoid most 100 calorie packs and such. Typical day: b-fast: plain oatmeal /lunch:salad with tuna pouch & FF Italian dressing, grapes, FF yogurt /dinner: soy crumbles, FF refried beans, black beans in 90 cal wrap, couscous, salsa /snack: 1/2C plain nonfat yogurt, mango chunks, cool whip free. That's actually what I ate today. :)

I'm always willing to hear any good food advice!

  • id be real happy to give you advice. I will send you a message.

  • I too am doing weight watchers along with P90X. Did the two work together well in the end?

  • Love your videos... You totally crack me up while motivating my to get off my butt and do some work! :) Thanks for the great vids!

  • Thank you so much for this comment! 2 of the things I love most are: motivating others and making people laugh. I'm glad I can somewhat accomplish both through these videos! :)

  • Because you already did the P90x, you should checkout 10-Minute Trainer. I have used this and it's amazing how much they put into 10 minutes! They also have a food program to follow as well. They really want you to do 2-3 10minute videos and it will seem very easy compared to P90x and there is no way you won't lose weight because most of it is cardio. Good Luck!

  • It seems like lately, it doesn't matter how much cardio I do- my weight doesn't budge. It's VERY slow going for me (always has been.) I'm just blessed that way! :P

10 Min Trainer sounds really similar to the Bootcamp thing I'm doing- but when it comes to fitness I'm always willing to try out new programs if they are recommended by others. Maybe I will give that one a shot in the future when I want to switch things up. We'll see!

  • Hmm, based on this info - the only reasonable explanation must be your diet. I watched a good video awhile back on youtube that explained how many calories each fat pound was and basically doing 2 plyometrics would only take off like one of those fat pounds. You might see if your job pays for a visit to a dietician as I think many companies nowadays pay for that type of thing and who knows - it might be something goofy that could be changed easily and then it's result city!

    Good luck!

  • I have been trying to vary my diet... I've really tried to cut back the carbs to see if that helps.

Thanks for all the tips and advice! Much appreciated!

  • Oooo TNT workout? I'm not familiar with that. How's it going for you?

And to be quite honest, my clothes don't really fit too differently. It's kind of a bummer for me. :/ As a matter of fact, I think my rear got bigger- because my jeans seem a little tighter in that region. My waist and thigh measurements went up by the end of the program. It all seems backwards and weird to me.

  • Thanks for the update... keep 'em coming. I did another round of p90x but didn't get any results so I've moved on to the TNT Workout and I really like it.

I'm curious... even though you gained 10 pounds (probably muscle) did your clothes fit any different?

  • Thanks for the update, I have seen this guy, and yes his voice is a little rough on the nerves.

    Good luck..

  • Thank you!! I can get past his voice since the workouts are good. :)

How are things going for you? Still bringin' it?

  • I meant "Your"...I actually can spell

  • You don't know how much I appreciate you making that correction. For real. Nothing makes me happier than when people know their word forms and also when they know how to spell "definitely." lol I am REALLY a nerdface.

Thanks for watching and commenting! Everyone's support on here is so awesome!

  • Very Cool Angelee! Good to see you staying at it! You're new hair color looks great too!

    Andy

  • Fitness update haha. Dang that guys voice is annoying Barry. Glad you like it though. Haha tender moment with the bean. Thanks for the Barry Bootcamp preview.

  • You are quite welcome, my dear. Maybe my little review will help others out. It really is a good program if you can get past Barry's annoying-ness. :) I sweat a whole lot, and I love that!

  • ...so with all that said or in this case typed lol. Try one of those, If you down have P90x+, give it a shot. They have clips here on YT. By the way you mentioned Intervals training. There is a Interval X P90X Plus. You should like that one. Keep Bringing it and Glad to see you back! Take Care!

  • Wow, thank you for all the advice! Awesome! I've heard P90X+ is good. I would definitely love a new version of kenpo- I've done the regular P90X version quite a bit. What about the P90X+ ab ripper routine? I've heard it's intense.

A lot of people have said Turbo Jam is fun too. And there is an Interval P90X+ program?! WHAT?!! So many choices!! I'll have a big decision to make after the new year as to what I want to do next...

  • I am almost done with P90X+ and it really is just 5 new videos added to P90X. If you did not like P90X, I'm skeptical you will like P90X+ as the main differences is that it seems to work more in the chest/back area, less in the abdominal area (compared to ab ripper) and quicker videos (roughly 40 min without prep). I will say that the interval program is a great workout to add to your other cardio workouts. Also, the kenpo+ is not as good as Kenpo original.

  • Let me just make it clear that I really did love P90X- it just wasn't doing what I wanted for my body. I really think it was kinda brilliant the way it was laid out! It was just time for me to change- like Tony says, "variety is the spice of life." :)

  • I agree with your assessment. It is the first time I've done a video workout and I love it as it keeps me motivated and best of all - there is no monthly fee! I went with P90X+ because I wanted a change as well. I am thinking after this round that I will hand pick workouts I like the most in P90x and make my own calendar (4x a week)- taking out the stuff I hate the most (yoga, leg stuff, etc) and substitute jogging. If I find that I'm gaining fat again, then I'll add that stuff back in.

  • I will be doing Classic next.If you have P90x+ do Kenpo Cardio Plus..it kicks ass!I talk about it a bit on my latest update. I swithced KenpoX with the plus version. Another suggestion other than P90x is Turbo Jam. My sister has it and she let me borrow the DVD to try it and it is a CARDIO BURNING WORKOUT! You will shed fat like youve never sheded before I tell you. I made a copy for myself :) It will take you a couple of days to get the moves down but it's actually fun. Its a Beachbody porduct

  • Angelee! I'm glad to see you back. Great update I'm glad that your still pushing play, even thou it's not P90x :) Well let me give you a couple of suggestions. Personally I think thier is no program like P90x in the planet. I think you might agree w/ me. What I would do is another around of P90x Lean. I'm doing Lean and will be wraping up Round one at the end of this week. So for it looks like I will be losing 15lbs. 10 days ago it was 13lbs.

  • Thanks, for the shared tender moment with your bean. I like your new look. Consistency is the key to any workout program. Just do it. Good luck with Bootcamp. And keep recording your videos. Don't be a slacker.

  • I'm really trying not to slack (especially with my workouts!) I probably won't record as much as I used to, but I'll be sure to every now and again. Perhaps I'll share more tender bean moments. You never can tell...

  • If you are looking for a more cardio-intensive program, try Debbie Siebers Slim Series! Her workouts are intense: light weights, high reps, and lots and lots of squats. Designed to burn fat and tone, instead of build. I inter-mix Slim Series with P90X and it's perfect!

  • I've read a lot about the Debbie Siebers Slim in 6, and I saw a lot of negative things about her personality (non-motivating/boring.) That's really what swayed me from buying it, and getting Barry's program instead. It's always possible that I'll try it in the future- who knows. Thank you for the input though- I appreciate it!

  • What? Debbie Sieber's Boring. She is awesome I love her in Tony Horton's Great Body Series. I have Slim in 6 I've been doing her slim in 6 pack abs. She is fantastic and the ab workout kicks your but. Girl, I'll send you the slim in 6 vids.

  • It's just what I saw in the reviews on Amazon, Laney! More people gave positive reviews for Barry's program. But if you say Slim in 6 is good, I'll totally believe you. You know I trust your judgment in all things fitness. :)

  • OMG, he is so... annoying!

  • I know, right!? At least his workouts are good- that's the one saving grace. :)

  • lol the dude from the other program looks crazy, but thats cool that your trying other stuff good luck :)

  • Thanks Diego! I appreciate you still watching and commenting even though I'm not doing P90X. Cool stuff! Hope you're doing well too!

  • I have seen Barry's Bootcamp ads on TV, looks similiar to 10 Minute Trainer workout by Beach Body by Tony Horton. I guess, like everything in life, it all boils down to the effort the person puts into the program will determine the results.

  • I always put the utmost effort into my programs and can never quite get to where I want to be. I just keep plugging away though. And outside of Barry being mildly annoying, his Bootcamp program is really good! I'd definitely recommend it. :)

  • Yeah...keep plugging away. I have been trying to get a six pack for about 30 years! Never give up...good luck to you and I can relate to not being where I want to be...

  • haha. Eating happens!

My weight loss came to a complete dead stop for Thanksgiving. It was much better than I thought it would be. I thought I would be going in reverse. Combine that with the fact I didn't fall into a food coma this year is a testament to the discipline I have now.

Hopefully the new plan works out for you.

  • "Eating happens" should be my new slogan. lol I swear when I turn the cam on my brain stops working properly. :P

Big congrats on avoiding the food coma at Thanksgiving. I did too! I was proud! I also made a low fat dessert and everyone *loved* it. I think any new show of discipline or change of habit is a good success.

I like the new plan. I'm sure I'll do it for a while, then switch to something else. I like to keep things fresh!

  • I watch what I eat all the tike ;) I watch it go from my plate to my mouth :P

  • I watch what I eat all the time** ;) I watch it go from my plate to my mouth :P

  • haha! Well don't forget you've got metabolism on your side, kiddo. You are young, and I am... well.... not so young. lol

  • Excellent review... definitely keep the updates coming!

  • As long as people keep watching and enjoying, I'll keep recording! Thanks for the comment! :)

  • NEW VIDEO! YEAH! hahaha Good to hear that you are doing a bootcamp-like program, even if the guy is not as awesome as Tony. We can't all be...haha.

I need to be more strict too. It kinda sucks for people like us who have to be so strict on ourselves! I just started my new P90X round this week because of something that happened last week that caused me to miss the whole week. I will get into that when I do a new video probably. Things are crazy right now!

    AWESOME WORK! KEEP IT UP!

  • No one can beat Tony!! And no other program compares to P90X... it's really somethin' else. I'm enjoying this interval stuff though- always good to shake things up!

I hear ya about the craziness of this time of year- but glad to hear you're still hangin in there with your workouts. You are such a diligent one! Kudos to you, sir!
