He should learn the other grips including the "traditional" grip that Buddy Rich used. As far as control, he's four and there are probably physical limitations when it comes to control. At that age, most kids can't even hold a fork correctly or write their name.

You got it, He is 4. If you had this going on in your house would you try to rock the boat? Not me. LOL. Jonah plays what he wants, when he wants and how it wants. Any pro drummers that have seen him live just say to leave him alone. He is only 4 and in all other aspects he is just a normal little kid untill he sits down behind his drumkit. Then this comes out. I am not a drummer. He just watches drummers on YouTube and then plays it. I still get blown away.
