  • The above photo was taken from a teen magazine that showed her performing at "Jilly's Teenage Night Club" In Somerville,N.J.

    Wonder whatever became of "Jilly's"!

It's the first photo that I ever saw of Janie....too bad it didn't come out too great in the magazine.

  • I was so moved by this song when it came out-

    a totally forgotten classic

  • A beautiful voice & one of my favorite songs. never to be forgotten !

  • Can't believe I don't remember ever hearing this song until a couple months ago!

Really like it! Unique, sweet and innocent

  • Sorry to steal your line...I love Janie!

  • So sweet yet sad, reminds me of a better era.

  • peaked at #7 on CFUN 1410 AM in Vancouver, Canada in May 1961

  • Her mother is Gogi Grant who had a big hit with The Wayward Wind.

  • @upsguy2002 Didn't know that.Interesting

  • For 1961 an interesting choice to use the word triangle as a metaphor for love going sour.Since no third person is involved in the wilting of the young lady's romance, I'm guessing the triangle metaphor is being used to describe her boyfriend's questionable affections towards her.He sounds like a total cad and deserves to be dumped--there's better fish in the sea, Janie! Don't give up on love or yourself!.Oops! Sorry...this is like a soap opera you can really get too emotionally involved in...

  • When I heard this song I fell in love with it and Janie. Even though I never saw a pic of her til now, shes what I thought she would be.

  • Such a great song and all of us can relate to it at least once in our lives ...

  • Very nice song dripping with the innocence of an era that we`ll, unfortunately, never see again.

  • man I was into male singers but I always liked this song I remember those times man the world was different johnny suede

  • I first heard this song when I was at Fort Dix, NJ in the Army, May 61. It made me think of my 14 yr. old girl friend...who is now my wife of 43 yrs......GREAT!

  • In my opinion, Janie Grant excellent, Linda Scott even better.

  • One of my favorites from '61. She and Linda Scott are tops!

  • Sweet.
