the srv video is funny the fat woman wrecks his guitar hes got another and another and another i bet srv went to the toilet with his guitars and rory is a legend and is often underrated but i think hed agree he was not srv srv was as good as hendrix and is the only guitarist since hendrix to be up to his level rory was very close to this level

yeah i know what you mean comparisons between 2 different guitarists never get resolved because its like if u compare hendrix to clapton hendrix was in your face rock where as clapton is a stand back blues player and never liked being a frontman so its impossible to compare them

Cada uno tiene lo suyo, rory es de la escuela del viejo blues por eso no es tan veloz como stevie pero virtuoso es sin lugar a dudas, tiene un mejor slide que stevie y toca con todos los dedos, estevie es un groso no hay duda, pero no duden de que rory tambien lo es, son dos grosos de verdad y de gustarme mas me gusta mas rory a tenido siempre buenos bateristas y un bajista de la hostia, ademas de un tecladista muy bueno, tocaba el saxo la cimitara, el piano la armonica un musico completo

@MegaPotterboy Oh please, this is such a hoax. Never was said by Hendrix. Was made up by some journalist and repeated by so many ppl that it got a life of its own. Even Rory's brother Donald said it never happened. There is no interview on tv, radio or newspaper, where this is to be found. Even the links someone put on Wikipedia is hearsay from some bookreviewer. It is a nice story, but nothing more than a story and ppl should stop just being silly and repeating things.

@MegaPotterboy I have my doubts about the significance of that alleged Hendrix quote, if it was actually real. Sounds like Hendrix not wanting to come accross a total cock rather than the result of hours of methodical contemplation. In any case, I'm sure there's a list of people Hendrix said similar things about- certainly Clapton, and probably Buddy Guy... I've not seen a top drawer guitarist interviewed yet who didn't talk up someone else more than themselves.
