i love this movie so much...it's incredible and beautiful and is just so perfect in its own right. the symbolism of the two lives is so powerful and moving, and combined with the unique cinematography, this film is just spectacular.
Only Kieslowski could dare showing an actress staring at the camera! A pure genius like himself was able to play outside of any rule, like great artists can do.
godard did it decades ago & he broke tons of other rules of traditional cinema, i see filmmakers like godard or jim jarmusch as rebel artists & i see people like kieslowski or bergman as poets turned filmmakers....cheers!..veronique...perfect movie..the criterion edition is a hell of a package..pure elegance as they always do..
Se un film è anche un'opera di poesia, "La double vie de Véronique" è una tra le più belle opere poetiche degli ultimi cinquant'anni; questa sequenza, una tra le "frasi" più belle di quell'opera.
Oh my God! She looked at me! She must be a wizard!

it's a very symbolic scene, shows how different was the world for Weronika from her own perspective,
