not really. He's the least consistent player on the team. then again they're all really inconsistent from what i've seen. No doubt Walshy's improved. but they are still a really young team. even as a str8 fan, I really respect what carbon did. Carbon is no fluke to me if they went through instinct, 3-0'd a practice str8, and beat final boss, and took tD to 11 games in the finals... honestly. that's incredible. dallas would have been the best event I can even remember if Carbon went through with the walshinator and took home the title in 12 games from TD. I don't think carbon's performance was a fluke... wayyy too many huge wins over all the best teams. 3-0 str8? cmon.

wow... Carbon is possibly the best team up to date to ever play this gametype. The video is sort of old though. It was in the MLG gameroom a couple weeks before Dallas. Everybody thought it was a fluke, but Carbon actually did this exact thing with the exact same setup with Naded at top mid looking at mancannon and pulled off a 3-0 CTF win in a little under 4 mins.

I hate TD. I'm still a true Str8 fan, they're just really inconsistent. TD is VERY consistent, BUT they need a lot of work with the image issue. I've played against Hysteria before... he's a douche if you talk to him. Pistola... talk to me when your a little taller and actually mature a little. Maybe it's just me. No offense to the actual team, but i think it's luck how far they've come cuz they honestly are not the best team of INDIVIDUALS on the circuit. Str8 is. maybe Carbon.

But in reality, what would like to see. A pro team go negative and win a CTF or any objective game, or see a pro team all have crazy good stats and win. The crazy good stats is what actually brings in money. That's why even though Str8 is trippin a little, they still earn the most money from sponsors and endorsements out of all the other teams. Why? Cause players like Walshy, Naded, Pisotla, or Heinz would look terrible on a bottle of Doctor Pepper.

How is this unrelated. I said Carbon still has not proven to me that they're good enough to take a first place finish. They were just really pumped. I know amateur teams that would probably beat Str8 if they were as pumped as Carbon was. Then i started to say that Carbon would never be as SUCCESSFUL as str8 because of the image factor. In reality, that's why MLG is growing a little. Because of the fact there are kids like Legit and Snipedown that can hold two lives. Face of mlg: T2 or Ghost'?

But it's just interesting to see how something like competitive gaming is taken so seriously. Not just by the teen community, but the adult community. No, you're wrong. Yes, top eight gets a check, I meant only pro's who make any decent money are the pros who place top 4 consistently. Anyone who places outside of 1st gets almost nothing considering it is divided by 4 people and maybe a coach as well. Barely any pro has a decent sponsor other than the people from str8 and FFA has been dead since H2. Getting a good education is more important than playing a video game. Like snip3down and shockwave have been doing. T2 is a drop out.

However, i am going to agree with you, it's wrong for MLG to advertise "making it out" as so easy, kids waste their lives playing too much of this game expecting to get top 4, even then you don't get enough money to constitute a job, even so making top 4 is incredibly difficult, School and education is definately more important.

What i'm trying to say is that MLG gets views on the stream and sells out passes because of the sick games and the clutch finishes. NOT to see some good teamwork. This is why gametypes like Amplified are really disliked as viewed on the circuit. Because nothing sicker than an out BR is possible. There's always that one player people want to see more than the other. Neighbor, Hysteria, Naded, Snipedown. Nobody wants to watch the losing team.
