Was that around 4:30 pm? I saw some METARs for the area saying TS, but none had heavy rain. But I did see a 39 gust at Hawkins and 41 at KJAN. Who reported 60+?
Yes QB, it was. NWS employee reported the 60 mph on the Severe Prediction Center website and the reports were at Foxbay and another report at the Reservoir in which both are 1/4 mile from where I live. With the trees cracking the way they were (last I ever heard anything like that was Katrina) I am inclined to believe the 60 mph wind estimate.
