can ayone answer this question for me? would using the tap tempo on the Boss delay pedal be decent or would buying a boss delay (i like Boss delay) and buying a seperate tap tempo?

@HSong4ever i say buy the external tap tempo button (fv-5u) because its worth it the timing is much better and u dont have to hold the pedal down fur 2 seconds

@MrFender1999 the dd3 doesnt have a tap tempo but if im gonna buy the tap tempo seperately, theres no point right? haha so if im not gonna get the tap tempo, im probably gonna get dd7 with the tap tempo

@HSong4ever yea thats what i did but i dnt like the fact that u have to hold the pedal down fur two seconds so i ended up buying the dd7 and the tap tempo and now i cn set the delay times with out the pedal even being on it makes life easyer wen im playing live.

if you have a boss dd-7.. set the feedback at halfway, effect level at like 2 oclock, delay time doesnt matter, and mode at 800ms... and tap in the tempo.. quarter notes... and then you got the dotted eighth!

u can use dotted eighth delay and do all downstrokes the same way as hillsong does it. The delay is digital and its 450m/s. But if u don't have delay, you can do the same as kenny by picking it all the way. Either way works

It's distorted, but its' pleasant.

Your settings would depend alot on the guitar you use, your playing style, your effects, etc... so there's no one setting that can replicate any particular tone. Try to listen our and see what works.

The dude uses a (Boss dd5(with tap)" a "Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer" A "Visual Sound Jykle and Hide Distortion/Overdrive" To match the sound perfectly This is what you should have. But!, You dont really need it all i do it with my "Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Distortion" a "Line 6 dl4" And a "Jykle and hide" pedal this works Just as good for about half the price! Thats all i got Good stuff dude its pretty good!

Nice, that is really good. You got a decent right hand there! Just a suggestion though, mute the fast bits else it lacks dynamics to much and sounds a little flat overall. Very good tho. And I have the same guitar as you, Ibanez SZ 520 :)

Yeah i agree about the mutes.. this was done some time back, when I didn't know how to use the delay to help me out. You can do just half the picking by using a digital delay, set at a dotted eight note with tap tempo.
