  • seriously doc, i love you... so releived to know what is wrong... been in agony for years, tingling in my ears, very hard to breathe, you have brought some ease, I have had pain in my arm, since that cop did me harm, seen doc after doc, they checked my brain and my cock, all to no end, i could n't get on the mend, my brain has been bad, its all been so sad, when the doctor said "its all in your head" they even packed me off to the funny farm, until i was seen by Dr. nabilebraheim!
  • Thank you doctor, i am coming to realise i have been wandering round for years with a posterior sternoclaviluar injury- putting pressure on the vein with parasthesia in the left arm, facial numbness, effort dyspnea, headaches ,tinnutus, intracranial venous congestion, been in agony for years and the doctors i have seen were clueless- thank you so much i now know what is wrong. even ended up in a psychiatric hospital at one point. i have a feeling someones gonna pay for missing this.thank you...

  • @0TheChinaSyndrome0 seriously mate i may owe you my life

  • i have a bump on 1 side...i went to the doctor and he checked it and said that there is something but its nothing serious (like my right side is more stretched then the other) and told me that i can train how much i like... could it be that its nothing serious and that i can train normally ?

  • @RightOverhand great

  • @nabilebraheim yeah, now i started training again... and i can feel very very small pain and sometimes its clicking... now im really starting to doubt what my doctor said

  • @RightOverhand thank you

  • Hi doctor, I need your advice. I had stretched my arms early in the morning and suddenly there's a knuckle sound and pain on my chest. It was first painful but after days pass, I just saw my sternoclavicular bone popped out from my left. And my left shoulder always had a knuckle sound too mostly everyday. I'm just wondering is the cause of it and what treatment should be best for me? Please let me know. Thank you.

  • @euphoricanne no surgery

    coservative treatment and therapy

  • Dr Ebraheim. I had a class 3 sternoclavicular separation three months ago and I've had chronic pain every day. The tip of the clavical is poking me in my thorax, throat and it causes problems swallowing and breathing. The joint feels very unstable and pops and clicks. I've been very depressed, I feel like the active lifestyle I had is over. Do you believe prolotherapy injections would benefit, or worsen my joint, or is surgery an option?

  • @atomictrix see a doc it may be posterior dislocation ,a dangerous one

  • @nabilebraheim shit thats what ive got- im in agony everytime i move my arm and the thing crunches and is trapping nerves- best go see the doctor- was caused by a police officer trying to rip my arm out of the socket....

  • A butterfly sling would be better because it pulls back both shoulders

  • Hello Doctor,

For about a month every time I do chest exercises at the gym my sternoclavicular joint, on the right side, will (seemingly) pop in and out. I mean, I can feel it popping in and out and it makes a loud popping sound as well. I can feel the joint being stretched but it isn't exactly painful. What should I do, I know it is not normal but is surgery necessary, I know this won't go away without surgery though because it very easily pops during normal everyday activities aswell

  • @anklebreaka03 surgery is not necessary for this type

  • on the MRI i had like one or two months ago the report didnt say anythin about subluxed or dislocated or about the ligaments or cartilege all it said and showed that there was some difference in the curvature of the clavicle and where it connected to the scj slight difference but they reported that it was within limits do i have anything to worry about, please help any info would be appreciated thank you and God bless you and every other docotor and me too since im goin in to surgery(I have Hope

  • @nabisco2 do not worry about the SC joint

  • @nabisco2 have faith ,the mri is not showing much

  • Hi again Doctor, Ive had scj pain, tenderness, cracking, popping, tightness, feeling of weakness and looseness, and ive figured out on my own no thanks to the docotors ive seen that the cause for my scj pain (now bilateral orginally from right) is caused by right shoulder capsule reefing surgery done on 2009, it is too tight, im having surgery this august to undo it and fix my lebrum tear and bursitis as well in both shoulders :(

  • @sctz1 painless pump is better than surgery

  • Hi doc two years ago i had surgery to my right shoulder for a lebrum tear, turns out they didnt correct the lebrum tear but rather did a process known as reefing, in the winter of the that same year i had surgery done, i had a back injury from poor lifting technique, around that time i started noticing clavicle curviture deformity, and pain when doing certain movements on my right shoulder, than i started feeling crack and poping or grinding on my right sc joint then soon after loosness

  • and than trouble sleeping supine i need 2 sleep sitted position which is bad 4 my back (and i already have back pain), the clavicle at times bothers my neck muscles n i have a slight bump at the sc joint and first rib, i can hardly sleep at all now and im depressed really depressed the doc who operated on me thought it was arthritis but that came out negative n the rheumotoligist he sent me too said he cant help me, i need help please send me any info you can to my email (ncahvez2090@yahoo.com)

  • @nabisco2 you need to see a shoulder doc

you may need CT scan of the shoulder

  • many thanks doctor,i have the pains in the sternoclavicular joint but there is no bump to exterior and i don't have problems with breathing[posterior dislocation] but i have pain in may nech my scapular muscle and shoulder, what do you think its is a SC dislocation or just a tendon swelling

    many thanks doctor

  • @RonyNaKaTaWaMadBeast not a dislocation but see a doc

  • Thanks for the vid. I partially dislocated my collar bone when I was slammed in a wrestling tournament for the Marines. I didn't know what was wrong for months. I had chest, shoulder, and neck pains. It's been a little over a year, I made a full recovery, and I'm wrestling in college. I've made a full recovery. The only thing I can't do is rest the weight bar on my chest when cleaning and pressing in the weight room. That, and I have a permanent bump on my chest.

  • I fell in 2008 and dislocated my left sternoclavicular joint posteriorly, the hospital missed it at the time. Since I fell I have been having chronic pain in my neck, left trapezoid, and upper back. The pain is unbearable. 2 months ago my girlfriend playfully punched me and accidentally hit the same collar bone. When it happened my whole left arm went numb, and I had a tight feeling under my armpit. I have been having tachycardia, and palpitations every day along with sharp chest pain daily.

  • I recently started having sharp pain in my left temple, above my left ear, and occasionally on the back of my head; along with occasional tingling in my left cheek. No doctors have diagnosed my condition, and I am starting to worry, how serious is my situation? I had an x ray taken at the hospital 10 days ago, and it still looks displaced. Since my SC joint was not reduced when I fell back in 2008 has it been unstable up until I got punched? Or could a light punch cause a posterior dislocation?

  • @ac3kgt ct scan will show if it is old or acute

  • @nabilebraheim

thank you very much for your knowledge and time, this is such a hard injury to deal with because of how difficult the diagnosis has been. I had a CT scan at the hospital. And both clavicles look posterior displaced. But every doctor ive shown it too says not to worry about it and it will heal with time. Do you mind if I send pictures of the scans too your email?? I am seeing a shoulder surgeon Monday I scheduled and urgent appointment with a local ortho facility.

  • @ac3kgt no problem send some scans

there is a surgery for the old chronic posterior dislocation

    the condition is rare

i have a p[aper about open reduction in acute conditions

  • Also in my recent x rays, my left collarbone has a large curve on the top, where my right clavicle is straight on top. My AC joint also looks different on my left side than right. (Canadian Journal Of Emergency Medicine) "Chronic SCJ dislocations are extremely rare, and a MEDLINE review from 1966 to 2005 found only 4 reported cases" Am I one of those cases? Thank you for your time and wisdom

  • @ac3kgt get a ct scan and see a shoulder surgeon

  • @ac3kgt that is serious

  • @ac3kgt you may need surgery

  • hello

the ligaments of my sternoclavicular joint have been streched

    so theres a strain there

what can i do about that?

the doctors ive seen havent helped at all

  • @crazytrk9 thanks

  • @crazytrk9 you may need medication or injection for that joint

  • @crazytrk9

hey, doctors will not help you with this case, believe me, I had this for 2 years,

find a doctor around your area who does Prolotherapy and PRP injection.

Since there is very little inflammation, this joint does not heal properly

  • @edwinn0705

    thanks for the advice :)

its true ive been to specialists and all they say is rest and it will heal

its been 1.5 years now and nothings change :S

  • @ nabilebraheim I just got back from my doctor, dear nabilebraheim, and he told me that i have an anterior dislocation and because i went to him late(about 5 months after i lifted some weights and the problem was risen)the only thing i can do is some stretching exercises which will help ease the pain and slowly remove the hematoma that has formed at the previous location of the clavicle and that could take months.Would that exercises really help me?Can you please tell me your opinion?

  • @aleksandraWTC do not worry because it is anterior disloction

The result is good .give it a time

    gentle therapy is ok

  • I have an anterior dislocation. I did it about two weeks ago. When will I be able to get back to activities like skiing and biking?

  • @FreeskierSean this type in not bad

you will be able to go to biking in one or 2 weeks

    Skiing will take longer time

this type of injury does not alter your life style

  • Hi Dr.

Amazing amazing video...I have a anterior dislocation..... I'm just wondering that after a wait of let's say one year, i can resume my activities..... For example can i play cricket/Baseball..... can i do pull-ups???

The visible deformity would be there i know but would it stop me from engaginf in sports etc,??

  • @jeanpaulfelix do not worry about the deformity

    do what you want

no limitation but your guide is the pain

  • great video

  • @Tebraheim thanks

  • can we fix the sternoclavicular joint with plate?

  • @chinafox1 no

  • Very informative! Joke was a nice ending.

  • @TCMAUMEE thanks

  • Very informative video! like the joke, too!

  • @whatsup149 great

  • nice video

  • @amrabdelgawad great

  • Is this a common dislocation?

  • @NotARebel1 no but important

what do think of the joke

  • @nabilebraheim it is a nice touch. Nobody else.

  • @NotARebel1 thanks

  • Your Othopaedic Humor is great!

  • @nabilebraheim great

  • @mkhristov thanks

  • after the reduction of the sternoclavicular joint, how to fix it?

  • @chinafox1 you do not fix the posterior

    it will be stable

the anterior one will be unstable after reduction and they need no fixation
