How did you wire the garage door motor to run continuously? I'm trying to make something similar but after a few seconds my garage door opener stops (like it's still lifting a door). ???
@boochieboy814 It sounds like you have the entire motor and housing. Remove that housing and watch closely what happens as you activate the closer. I completely removed any of the telemetry components as well as the limit switches and then wired a toggle switch directly to the motor. If you still have the limit devices intact, the unit will only run about 8 seconds or so.
Your machine is probably the best looking and most elegant way of crushing cans I have seen. It look amazing! Not many people have thought about using wood, and it has more than enough strength to crush both aluminium and steel can. Can you give me or 'us' a demo' of steel can crushing?
I am an Invalid and a machine that reduces trash is really what I have been looking for, and a wooden one 'ticks all boxes'!
@themusicmaster21 Thanks dude. About the comment that it doesnt crush that flat....it crushed flatter than any manually operated crusher I've seen. It's less than 5/8" thick when it drops into the bucket.

Man, thanks...I really appreciate that. I'll have to get inside it and see what it looks like. You made a really nice crusher there.
