  • were did you get the railroad parts?

  • @micdanson88 A buddy of mine has family that works for CSX and they hooked me up.

  • @roostertrucker We have a metal recycling dump near us, I should try to find something there

  • @j88wolf except when you have a real anvil it works much better

  • @coolcat87100 I have no idea where to buy an anvil that wont dwarf the costs of everything else to make this. The railroad tie is the best homemade anvil and it just so happens I could make almost the same setup as him. I have a coulple different style blowers, no biggie on that, I only intend on making knives and daggers. I have some railroad rails just big enough, small enough, and lots of RR spikes plates, etc. They changing out old for cement and new clamps on Railroads.

  • Please make a tutorial

  • wasting lots of heat, better cover the forge from top

  • Dont put such music into a videos backround, from 0:40 the video was the least thing that amazed me :P

No doubt, good work on the forge :D

    cheers XT

  • Nice forge you have there! Just one question ... don't you get problems with ash ? in your first forge you can empty the brake drum right? but what's with the second? is there any possibility to clean that while it is in use?

  • @sittttam Not to big of a deal just turn the air up and stir and ashes are blown out coals stay in, do this ever ten minutes or so. Runs all day with this method, Thanks

  • @roostertrucker ok sounds great :) !

  • I'm jealous of your smithing area! O_O Freakin' stumps and railroad pieces, can't get more practical than that!

  • Dio is the best0:40-0:50

  • where do you get the steel for your knives from?

  • @MrVietnamJohn The steel I used is old lawnmower blades and leaf springs. Have made others out of railroad spikes allso. Thanks

  • I like it! Got one made from the top of a Budweiser keg with a leaf blower.

  • Nice work, and the hammers, you just can't have too many!

  • dude your design of the forge is the best one i seen yet in you tube for making Knifes and swords everyone else is round that just burn in one small round area compare to yours and the heat is not wasted in the area that is burning, great job and good idea i will make one on the base of your idea , thanks!

  • that thing hauls ass

  • Was I the only one who started to sing holy diver @ 0:39 lol

    nice vid dude.

  • How is the pipe holding up in the firepit? I would have thought it would have melted the pipe. I am interested in building one of these but I wanted to know what you have learned from your design since you built it? I built a clay forge a few years ago and learned a few things I would have changed had I did it again...I was just curious as to your experience.

  • it is a nice firebox, but I would find a way to put that bitchin' blower outside with a flex hose runnin to the firebox; Great idea and some great knives!

  • Amazing set up dude!!!! And nice knifes

  • So cool:D

  • Awesome setup, Man!

  • Very nice, you've given me some neat ideas for when I build my own sword length forge. I do hope you plan to put its final installation near your anvils otherwise that's quite a walk with searing hot metal!

  • what type of toolbox did you use

  • Holy diver is my favorite song from dio, and awsome forge and knives! It appears you have a new subscriber

  • Dio would be proud...

  • Holy Divah!

  • steel would melt on that. very good forge

  • wow...how simple too...i live in australia and could feel the heat from here...cheers.

  • cool holy diver in background

  • man that is crazy! i think im going to make one of these... i bet you could easily melt metal in that... and i melt aluminium into ingots and i think this would be far more effective then when i have now... haha nice video man

  • thumbs up if u seen the bakugan lol

  • Knives, tomahawk, forges, Dio playing in the background...Did you film this in heaven, by any chance?

  • If you made I sword I might buy one

  • "I think it works pretty good" - dang, you think?! you brought hell to earth! this is by far the SICKEST homemade forge i've seen - I want one, but I'm afraid I might burn our warehouse down if i built something like that :D cheers!

  • @nicuyliapco Thanks for the praise and for watching.

  • lets roast some pig!

  • 2:39 Holy crap! that is a beast! Nice up dude!

  • @scottiblasto Thanks for watching

  • wow good clip mate. might go out and make one myself. thanks

  • @TheLatinozz Thank you for watching.

  • nice forge.how much coal does it go through?

  • @bigaxe87 This forge eats the coal up. I would say something like ten pounds a hour of nut coal. Thanks for watching.

  • @roostertrucker damn...lol its worth it though, you could heat an entire sword blade on that badboy, its great

  • bright orange is like 800 degrees C you need to get at a bright yellow 1000 degree c for forging it. You could temper it and strengthen it with a bright orange good build contain the heat some more and you will get that even hotter

  • @sevenswanstudio He got it white hot in the second video. Has to be the best HM forge i've seen here on YT.

  • @Terratracks Wow Thanks hand you made me blush. sevenswanstudio missed whole point of video, that it was a test run and I did not care about the color so much as just seeing how it worked. And he all so missed the fact that I was using charcoal briquets which suck for fuel in a forge, and all so in his forge video he did not,,,, all that right he don't have any forge videos..He He He.. This forge is a beast it will melt any thing I stick in her, heat is NOT a problem.
