This is unfortunately a reality. I can't count the number of ads I've seen promoting white skin, explicitly endorsing that once your skin is whiter and clearer, you will undoubtedly attract many men (another problem is just how much this appears to be prioritized over everything else, seeing as the birth rates in this country are absolutely miserly when you think of per capita income). But that's another story. It is a PERSISTENT ATTITUDE. I'm not saying fair girls are ugly, but it's all skewed.
