@phillyslasher Yes, as the description says, the ATC chatter is most likely sound effects that were made when this video was converted to VHS... but even still it's not what you would hear today.
WOW !!! This is a great video. I know it's from a movie film. I thought it was great. I loved the way the people were dressed. I loved the cars. and everybody, was like, smoking. the planes were very cool.wow. you get 100 points for up loading this one. All the very best
@EnnCamp Thanks for the feedback, I wish more people saw this video. I know that LaGuardia as we know it was during this time called the New York Municipal Airport - if you know anything about this video that I don't you are more than welcome to point it out, seeing as I myself am trying to find out exactly what I am seeing here.
5 stars- thanks - those were the days- I wasn't born yet - Smoking on the Tarmac. no 'security', the ticket was hand written, no rules, no GPS, just fly. the ground crew had to 'spin' the prop after engine shut off so the oil would not burn at the bottom of the cylinder!
I dunno... thing is, I've long exhausted my dad's stash of old TV commercials... perhaps there are several more in his tapes somewhere I haven't found but its unlikely there are any more. This video actually wasn't from my parents I run a VHS to DVD transfer business and this footage came from a recent customer I had.

I don't think all of that ATC chatter was from that particular era. Probably added to the video.
