I love Johnny's skating. I cannot wait for him to start skating in all of the shows and exhibitions after he turns professional. This is where he will shine as he will not be tied down to performing within the code of points system. Johnny deserves a spot on the olympic team. He is the best artistic skater in the US at this time. I do believe he has a chance to medal at the olympics. Go Johnny go!!!
I like johnny's skating, but if he wants a spot on the olympic team, he might need to add a triple triple in the short and a quad in the long. Either that, or do his programs flawless, which he hasn't done for the past year or so. I hope he can do it, cause I like watching him.
he improved big time at NHK...he's building his season...hope he shines at nationals if he doesn't make the grand prix final...I think he's an alternate at the GP finals no?
Anyone that follows Johnny knows he usually has beautiful jumps, as well as being athletic without making it look like a track meet. I think he was just nervous. I actually like this program, costume, and the music....wish he would give his cute little grin at the end!

I agree, but I hope he really pushes himself for the olympics to make the podium. He didn't even make the podium here, and he has so much potential because he has great artistry and he can do the athletics if he wants to.
The first thing he has to do is *qualify* for the Olympics. That's not a sure bet. There's a lot of talent in US men right now. Nationals will be 1) fun, and 2) stressful!
Sadly Plushenko Rocked this Music back in 00-01 Season.. Weir needs to stop with the Russian thing. I get it.. he's different than any skater and pushing for a Russian flair adds to his.. But he could stand out if he went with a story in his skating other than skating dramatic and pretty to melodramadic music..

I see potential and he moves beautifully. However, his head movements are horrible and the second cut of the music sounds cheap. David Wilson stole gestures and some movement from Plushenko's Once Upon a Time in America (just like he took gestures and movement from Kwan's Scheherezade and put it in Yu Na's).
I also don't understand the stupid head movements before his fw and during his ending pose. I think it looks ridiculous.
Johnny has such awesome flow and his program is well paced. Evgeny has no flow, he jerks around so much, Johnny has much better skating skills. His programs are so interesting and I love just watching him skate, the jumps are a nice accent. Keep strong Johnny! You're my favorite!
I love this program, Even though there were some mistakes and not a perfect show, I felt special emotion I don't know what that is. But he moved perfectly with music. It's amazing.

I only wish that the pink lacies on that corsetty top part of his costume were in the same color tone as his pants whether it be in velvet or whatever material it is. Pin details on it make it too literal visually, but anyhow Very elegant performance overall!

What a beautiful lines!! it's better than women skaters though i'm sorry for his jumps.
But it is the beginning of the season. he will be better and better before the Olympics.
