My 360 (2008 model, with HDMI jack) is three years old, still haven't gotten RROD once. I think the reason why is that I don't have an HDD on the top, instead I use an 8 GB USB flash drive. I think the HDD adds too much heat to the Xbox, causing the RROD. My advice is to use a USB flash drive instead of a HDD. Trust me, every guy I've seen on Youtube who got RROD had an HDD.
hmm really because when i got my red ring of death we bought ours a lil less then 2 years ago from costco MONEY BACK GUARANTEE FROM COST CO we bought ours for 460 2 years ago for a bundle, and now we can but ours for how much 200? guess what we just saved 200 bucks off that red ring of fire guess it isnt so bad sometimes.....
i got 3 but cost co had a money back guarantee for 2 years so we got lucky and saved some cash buying one again... same price we bought it for a lil less then 2 years ago
3 year warantee that they will fix it for free and there not kidding, if you buy yours from cost co you get your money back and you can buy one for less money then you did a year ago or so

and if you didnt buy it from cost co microsoft guarantees a 3 year warantee that they will fix it for free.

uh 4 means the AV cables are loose, 3 means ur fucked, 2 means your playing it to much, and 1 means your fucked but not quite
