I have a better question.. Where did this ENGLISH version of the theme come from?! I've seen the Bilbine opening before and it was in Japanese! That DOES sound like original singer, though... Hmmm...
Interesting. I remember once hearing an English version of the Mazinger Z theme by the original singer as well... And in one of the spanish episodes here on YouTube, an English version of another song from the series which also sound pretty authentic... The only problem is... Since English isn't their native language, you can't really understand what they're saying... ^^;;;;
Actually the Mazinger Z theme in English is sung by Isao Sasaki, who did the Japanese themes for Getter Robo, Grendizer, and many other mechas. Ichiro Suzuki did his own English theme later on, but it's more literal in translation and doesn't maintain the rhyme and meter of Sasaki's version.
Its quite notable it was sung by Sasaki, only he pronounces punch as "panch". Anyway, the Mizuki English version is pretty hard to find, is it worth it?
ADV licensed it about 3 or 4 years ago, and released it on DVD from 2003 to early 2005 [12 dvds, so it was a lengthy release]. They didn't actually title it Holy Warrior Dunbine though-it's Aura Battler Dunbine. All this looks to be is a fan video of sorts, combining the English version of the song [which was a Soundtrack record release, not used on the show], ADV used the original 1st and 2nd ops.
BTW--- In addition to Aura Battler Dunbine being available [most discs are srp 19.99, though the first 4 were 29.99, but hard to find now btw...I got mine when it first came out], CPM released an OVA set in the same world, Garzey's Wing (but with no mecha) [9.99 srp, since it's one of their value titles.... it was also out on VHS subbed and dubbed versions], and Bandai Visual USA is releasing the newest Dunbine/Byston's Well anime, Wings of Rean (with mecha!) for about 39.99/disc.
So cool.

Because Mio had released the English version opening at that time. (1983)
There is a thing that an English version exists in her of the other song. Xabungle, L-Gaim ...etc
