  • Your welcome. Thanks for keeping the spirit of Buddy alive.

  • I have posted a video response of a version we did in 2009 - A version which I believe has worked out the kinks in the 2005 performance.

  • Nice keep the memories coming you guys rock Buddy would be proud

  • Yoe are so very good! Thanks!

  • Fabulous song by Buddy

  • Worsds of love,ARRATE.

  • one of my fav holly songs. so very beautiful. luv this cover and the beatles cover thnx for the share

  • I met the Crickets a few years ago, one of the original members, who had some great memories of Buddy. Such a tragedy. Valens and the Big Bopper too. Such magical guitar work, I love that 50s sound, very Fenderesque!

  • The Beatles do a great cover of this song on Beatles for Sale.

  • this is great, although he has a much deeper voice of buddy, but still good. love the guitar start off.

  • Great Job Guys!!!! Keep up the good fight:)

  • indeed it is at times - thanks a lot

  • This is deff NOT bUddy and listen guysd The Crickest will be in there 70s maybe even 80s now,,

  • True - they were born in the mid thirties and would be 66-69 years old. This is a cover band called "Buddy Holly Live!"

  • classic soach!!!!!

  • That ain't buddy. The Crickets are balding and in their 50's and "Buddy" is still 22. Not even a good reproduction.

  • This is a tribute band called "Buddy Holly Live!" - the players were ages 45-48 - they toured for 5 years from 1999-2004. This was a reunion gig in 2005.

  • Got it. thanks. If anyone had the chance to see Pacific Repertory's version of "Buddy!" in Carmel, San Jose or San Francisco CA, with Travis Poelle as Buddy..... excellent. just excellent. Saw it 4 times and would go again tomorrow if they decided to do the show again.

  • Les Paul used overdubbing first....Buddy did not think of it

However, he did use it very well on several of his recordings.

  • Thanks for the info. I saw an amazing documentary on Les Paul the other day - He still plays a weekly gig at 90 in NYC - He is an innovator and the inventor of most modern sound techniques.

  • does Buddy look a little like the guy from feady and the dreamers???

  • a bit rough, but that strat sound wicked! nice!

  • similar to listen to me - sounds great for a live gig

  • Ha, the brilliance of this...

  • brilliant

  • fantastic!
