Series was incredible no matter what team you are a fan of. Game 2, Crosby and Ovechkin both had hat tricks, I mean what are the chances anything like that will ever happen again? Game 7 was a blowout, but that only makes the rivalry MORE heated imo.

If Kris Letang doesn't score that goal (and the Caps go on to score instead), the Pens probably would not have won the Cup later on in the playoffs. In fact, I can almost guarantee it.

Sure, Ovie could kick Sid's butt anyday, but that's not what hockey is about. Hockey is the ultimate team game and you need secondary scoring, good goaltending and defense to win championships. The Caps didn't get enough secondary scoring to win the series. That's why the Caps are golfing and the Penguins are still playing in the Eastern Conference Finals! If you can give me facts that prove your point ok, but I'm pretty sure you just lost this one!

that aside 5 of the top 6 scorers in the playoffs are playing in this series. The rest of this seriies hinges on varlamov. The Pens are a better team than the Capitals, but Varlamov is playing inspired hockey and the only reason they are up 2 to 1 in the series.

I still think it is likely the caps will win, but it could easily go to the pens.

Scuderi owned Ovechkin in this game, and dominated forchecking.

not really. they have been loosing because they keep getting nothing from secondary scoring. Finally last night they did get secondary scoring and guess what? They won.

Pens beat the caps SO many times in game 2 it wasn't even funny. The only saving grace the caps had was their amazing goalie. If not for Varlamov this series would be a blowout in favor of the 'guins...so many super chances we've had and it's not like they just screwed around or anything...I daresay Varlamov is covered head to toe in welt marks from that puck hitting him.
