  • its on GBC

  • Theres a different color palette at vizzed.com for original gameboy. One of the online emulators is in COLOR!!

  • Hes most likely using a thing called "brainboy" that allows you to colorize an old gameboy game that is being used in a gb advance or color

  • i play my cartridge on gameboy SP and get color but it looks terrable...

  • The sound of your buttons clicking is making me sick.

  • Gameboy color, super game boy, or GBA.

  • I'm not sure he was using gba, gbc or super game boy because I have used it and you can't get colors this good

  • he's using SuperGameBoy...

  • my supermarioland is in colour i got gameboyADVNCE

  • @THEGAMEMASTER9991 yeah it's not like this, you can use Hax0R on the gba though, to get proper colour in old games :D

  • Gameboy Color?

  • @thekoopatroop2089 advance, with hAx0R ;D

  • Super Gameboy, I think. On SNES =)

  • He must've used the Brainboy adapter. How I can tell? TheKontractKiller said he moves faster. The Brainboy adapter lets you play games at 2X the original speed. Not advertising it or anything, just answering a question.

  • This is not the same game..... he is moving faster and when he jumps it appears to be different. I just played/beat the original

  • DERP

  • you can collor gb games with the snes! there is a sort of thing where you can put your gb games in so you can play them on the tv! you can even edit the color of it :D

  • did u use a gameboy color to put in color and if so will the color play gb original games

  • @MegaSlickdude yeah it does my super mario land works on it

  • super gameboy?

  • gamebot SP....... its backlit

  • I feel old watching this

  • I did that once. I know a glitch to make it change colors on the gameboy advanced :3

  • @bellacorn game boy ADVANCE!

  • @Fredcool95 yep

  • Maybe its a hack? :I

  • I think the game was created in color becuase they think they will develop a color gameboy in the future, in fact... the monocrome GB was competing with the Sega color console, but the Director of GB said that was better in monocrome becuase the battery lasts more than the Segas colors ones. That way of thinking made NINTENDO as they are now, and beated SEGA in the First Consoles War.

  • Wat a shit quality of sound and vide camera

  • Super Gameboy changed the colors on the optionss

  • it's a hacked version!

  • ... wow. either you used gameboy color or gameboy advanced

  • @MinecraftProDude or super gameboy

  • @MinecraftProDude gbc or gba playing gbp games only have 2 different colours, this however has 4 different colours. :P

  • @Doomsfall

Actually, the original GB had 4 colours (That is to say, four shades of grey). All this is is a palette swap, which I believe could be done using a GB cartridge adapter in the SNES.

  • @CJTheReal Yeah but with the gbc and gba, the gb games use 2 different colours with 4 different shades and I already know about there being 4 different shades, I just forgot to mention it.

  • @MinecraftProDude No, it's super gameboy.

  • @MinecraftProDude if he used the gameboy color, the cameraman should turned on the lights to let the camera focus

  • @MinecraftProDude

Gameboy Color/Gameboy Advance doesn't give you that many colors. You get 4 colors at a time, two reds and two greens (green for moving sprites, red for non-moving sprites), plus the white background, and you can change the 4 colors to other color combinations using the directional pad at the Gameboy start-up screen, but you can still only get 2 shades of one color and 2 shades of another.

In this video, during level 1-2, you can clearly see brown, green, red, blue, yellow.

  • @MinecraftProDude no not for gameboy color i have super mario land for my gamboy color and the pipes are a yellowish kind of color and mario has yellow overalls

  • @MinecraftProDude Game Boy Micro

  • @MinecraftProDude not the color i have one and it other

  • @MinecraftProDude no even then its stil in black and white

  • Sorry, I meant SGB

  • GBP obviously

  • i had this game on gameboyCOLOR before i knew tere was a Black and White verision.

    im not a fool

  • @Timpetot or just a Game Boy Color...

  • he used an emulator what can change the colour palettes, i have one on my psp.

  • press the control pad buttons till you find your favorite color on the gbasp on sml

  • u mustve used gameboy color

  • @Sonictails54321 or game boy player for gamecube

  • @Sonictails54321 Super gameboy.

  • @Sonictails54321 Actully he used a gameboy advance

  • @ShyShyMario2 just letting you know

  • Let me guess,Super Nintendo.

  • well, yeah everyone. it's a gameboy advance. stop arguing

  • nice gameboy sp?

  • he played this in color by playing it on the Game Boy Color. you can play GB games on the Game Boy Color.

  • guys give him a break! may not be the best quality but the title isn't misleading, so stop whining.

  • lol, it's actually just on a gameboy color bios. The gameboy color has a database full of custom sprite colorings for select gameboy games, and will automatically color them when it detects the game id. To disable the color, just hit B + Left to get back to greyscale mode :P

  • of you play the original game from the original gameboy, on a gb color or a gb advance it will give some color. they also made a remake of the original game just in color for the advance

  • @conickionfit No they didn't...

  • Naw bruh, I'd rather stick with the game the way it was intended 7 years before I was even born, black and with chico, black and white.

  • ti tryed this on my gameboy advance and there was color! i was like oh my god!

  • @orbitoverthesun The reason behind is that the Game Boy Advance itself gives the game different texture packs, which it also gives it color.

  • I have Super Mario Land in color. I don't know why it's like this, because it's one of the gray Gameboy cartridges. :|

  • @KittiesandMe22 me to...

is yours a PAL version too? because I got mine from my European uncle...

  • @nicnec7 Yeah, it must be... On the opening screen that says "GAMEBOY COLOR", when you push the D-Pad, does the screen change colors? Mine does that. :)

  • @KittiesandMe22 no not that, all GB games on the GBC do that, I mean my game has different colors

  • that looks wizard.

  • the regular gameboy games, do they work with the gameboy advanced? please anser!

  • @MrLolHead55 yes it does.

  • superboy??

  • Actually I had mario land in color. Just put the game into a game boy color and it has colors!

  • i've got a color palette editor, which looks like an action replay cartridge. i think you did the colors with such a thing.

    am i right`??

  • link????????????

  • Or you could just play it on the GameBoy Color.

  • Needs a few more colors. I like it though :P

  • Its called playing it on GBA.

  • Why has nintendo never rereleased these? We should have color versions by now. It's only been what 21 years since the land games debuted with this one? Wtf nintendo.

  • el caset esta en el gaeboy advance es x eso , no se la crean !!!!

  • wie geht denn das bei 3:50?

  • @RittlerXXX n bug wahrscheinlich..

  • gbcolorizer. nothing else. Stop Bitching about D-pad colouring and super gameboy. Play the darn game instead of complaining about it ^^

  • Could have been played on numnerous systems (Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Super Gameboy

  • Its the gb colour version!

  • @backwoodsmods Well, you can easily do it yourself. Use the GBC(Gameboy Color) or GBA(Gameboy Advance) and at the Gameboy intro screen, just move the D-Pad around and also try moving the D-Pad and pressing the A or B button and you can change the color. Also, on the Super Gameboy, you can change to a variety of colors anytime you want in game.

  • Whats all the fuss about? I have a colour super mario land and the pipes are a browny colour and stuff...

  • @spankosaurus You can change the color thouhg. Playing on Super Game Boy is better color wise though.

  • i think you used a gameboy color and press the D pad to change colors

  • he played this on the super game boy.

  • 0:46 Epic Fail xD

  • Comment removed

  • wow you people are dumb... he's using a trick to do it... say... i 'm gonna make a vido of me doing it...

  • gba so gba no lie

  • I know that there is a version of this in color because I used to have it and I wish I still did

  • Cool video. It's amazing how much of an improvement just making the pipes green and the coins yellow can really make! :)

Do you happen to know of a good place to download and contribute to these color packs? I would hate to spend hours coloring tiles on a game that has already been done. I would rather take on a new rom that hasn't been colorized yet. Thanks.

  • @adamarchambault lol no they don't, i played SML, SML2:6GC and SML3:WL to freaking death and they are all excellent games

  • @Trevor1182 I'm guessing adamrchambault was born in, like, 1998. OMGZ XBOX 360 SHITZ ON EVERYTHING!!! GAME BOY?? WHAT'S THAT???

  • You can change the background color on any gameboy game on the GB Color handheld system, just press start or select immediately after the loading screen appears (the one that shows the gameboy color screen)

  • its not that bad

  • color hack i have a gameboy color vesion and it has the differnt colors than that

  • It's like watching you play through a net.

The one that people use to catch bugs, lol

  • how you made for go so quickly?

  • how do i get this game?

  • @abdul123r Go to somewhere that sells games and buy it.

  • The color of Mario's palette is incorrect. I saw another colored Super Mario Land sprite and its color is correct.

  • i hate it u don't even kno where da secret places r!:P

  • ive done it lots of times , all of you dumbasses , put the game in a gb color:D

  • @TheAngelo2431

Yeah, but that only colors the background one hue, while coloring the sprites another hue. This has way more colours than a b&w game running on a GBC.

  • hey.... dint this video used to me 1 Fps? thats why everyone says it sucks. so its better now.

  • half coler the mushroom shit is white black

  • bei meinem gameboy ist das alles grün...

  • its color on my gameboy advance sp

  • i love your 1 frame a second camera

  • @3312cdfp5674 omg, ftw?

youtube glitch, fixed itself, not 1FPS anymore.

Same vidoe, a good solid 30FPS.

    Weird.

  • i have super mario land in color?? so what...

  • I don't think he used a camera.I think he just put images together in a movie and added sound.

  • your camera is the shittiest one!

  • Get a better camera!

  • i remember beeting this game........good memories

  • get a better camera

  • This was entirely possible with no hacks or anything.

Play any Gameboy Game on a Gameboy Color...

    See?

  • thats on a gameboy advance

  • @ackarfan2000 actually its on an emulator, cause the gbc/gba only used two colours for the old gb games

  • Go buy yourself a better camera with your birthday cash because this one is not appealing that and turn up the Volume so the quietness doesn't creep us out.

  • i got this game on original GameBoy and to get it in colour no need for hacks it will be in colour except not this colour

  • As interesting as this setup is, the pathetic camera makes it unwatchable.

  • where is the donwload link?

  • You could achieve this on an actual gameboy with a Brainboy, it was primarily a pokemon red/blue cheat device but it had a neat option to put custom color schemes on games and it also worked on old black/white gameboy games. There's probably other devices with a similar feature.

  • is that for gb color? i have it but its just a plain ol game boy cartridge and its somewhat in color when i play it on a gameboy advance, but not in those colors

  • OLD SCHOOL GAME!!! I used to play that! its soo fun! i still have the exact same game :D

  • best vid ever

  • nice powerpoint presentation ^^

  • @Reigam4 wow you're dumb.ITS A HACK!

  • I didn't think it was possible to hit below 1 FPS.

  • @8BitDanooct1 you mean you can get higher than 1?

  • That's a really bad video

  • One of the worst videos I have seen.

  • Wow nice COMPUTER emulator

  • ...... who cares?

  • You used a gameboy color or super gameboy on the snes

  • @Schinanski its funny how your comment is rated the highest

  • @GamerRoundTable lawl... i tell you... it's the swearwords... xD

  • @TheZombieRitual hahhaah

  • omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg

  • I could play with colors on my gameboy color...just the colors were darker I think

  • how did u get -7

  • I don't remember

  • you guys take it to the core

  • PFFF

  • Well, i had a GBC when i played super mario land but it hat other colors.

  • Nope, GBCOLORIZER IS THE APP YOU n00b

  • @link4u94 No need to be so mean, SNES Super Gameboy works too, I have one.

  • true

  • You can play Super Mario Land in Color only with Super Gameboy Module for SNES

  • Yes, but with FAKE colours.

    THIS IS CREATED WITH GBCOLORIZER

  • You n00b. That is NOT true. If you insert a GB game ina GBA/GBC console, you can choose between 4 filters (colours). The original GB had only 4 MONOTONE colours. That means 4 GRAY SCALE "colours". The GBA does just exchange the "colours" to another colour. In this video, there is more than 4 Colours, and there is not similar to any of the filters.

  • NOO: GBColorizer IS THE ONLYU WAY YOU IDIOT

  • where can youboy games like this besides ebay etc.

  • Someone needs to tell me how this old gameboy game has color i absolutely don't get it.

  • with an adapter for gameboy games to play them on an snes

  • the gameboy color and the Super game boy both add false color to original gameboy games. it basically substitutes one shade of gray for a color, depending on context (wether it's a sprite, background, or something else)

  • GBAdvanced!

  • Last time i tell you, GBCOLORIZER. SEARCH GOOGLE

  • @link4u94 or the super gameboy on the super nintendo

  • Yeah :D you get colors for B&W games for GB in GB color.. It's weird. But it doesn't work on every GB game.

  • It's not a colour hack, you can change the colour of the game on the Game boy colour by pressing the D-pad

  • nice camera =p

  • You need a super frameskip to run that super mario

  • Yes, i agree, this is just a ROM RGB hack.

"GBColorizer" is the program 4 this

  • GBADVANCED!!!

  • it's called a super gameboy. it's a super nintendo cartredge with a slot for gameboy games. an emulater technicaly.
