I think Belak is hands down the "best" fighters, his defense and the ability to throw from either hand. Brashear has the best left in the business, better than Laraques I think. Laraque just gets a spot by default, he's definately the best at the takedown. Orr is a fucking tornado, he doesn't waste any time he just scraps it out. Godard could be anywhere in the 3-5's Iguess I chose Orr 4. because I'm a Leafs fan.

Chara doesn't belong anywhere near a list of the best. Chara's more of a wrestler if anything. I'd put Iginla ahead of Chara.

Also, Jordin Tootoo deserves an honarable mention, pound for pound. Tootoo isn't very well liked, but you'd be in denial if you didn't think he was a damn good scrapper.

He was close with Boogaard but I would still rank Boogaard higher, that can be easily debated though because Belak may have edged Boogaard in their only scrap. These NHL staged fights have to stop. There was nothing to this fight. It wasnt caused by anything that occurred in the game previous to the scrap. You will most likely see these types of staged fights eliminated from the NHL next season in light of the Don Sanderson death in December. I love fighting in hockey, but this is just staged crap. Both players play 2 minutes a night and really dont offer anything to the team other then scrap with the other teams designated goon.
