Here's the deal on the Os. They have some young guys but they still won't spend the money to get the Vets they need to compete with the AL east. And when the young guys get good Angelos won't pay them either and their gone.
Signing a vet before this season isn't going to make Matusz, Tillman, and Bergesen mature any faster. When the time is right, they'll pounce on the right player.

I was at Fenway to see the O's play the Red Sox the other day, and was one of the very few who dared wear Orange. When the national anthem was sung, however, there was a decent "O!" (a Camden tradition). Unfortunately, the O's got pounded 12-1. In the 9th inning, an O's fan in the row behind me started singing this song, but needless to say, the magic did not happen.
I've loved the Orioles as long as I've lived and I'll stick with them forever. It'll be so sweet when MacPhail completes the job and we get a winner out there!!!

I was at Fenway to see the O's play the Red Sox the other day, and was one of the very few who dared wear Orange. When the national anthem was sung, however, there was a decent "O!" (a Camden tradition). Unfortunately, the O's got pounded 12-1. In the 9th inning, an O's fan in the row behind me started singing this song, but needless to say, the magic did not happen.

How can you say you only root for a winner, but didn't root for Red Sox last year? when yankees are 0- for the 21st century? they've spent nearly a billion dollars on FAs since then & yankess are just as much losers as the O's so far this century - good point Tuckz! At least O's fans are smart enough to know their team has been bad. this bandwagon guy... I'm outta here, I rather debate a real baseball fan. good luck O's fans! keep the faith!

Inky, You must be a 12 year old kid. I remember when yankee fans wanted to run Steinbrenner out of town like O's fans & Angeloes now. and many freeagents woudn't sign in NY because of him. Late ninties they won with scrubs and a rookie named jeter. only then did clemens bring his roids to town. but since mussina and other FA signed, they haven't won anything. 21st century WS titles for yanks 0 Red sux 2 So you rooting for the SUX?? K whats your point i think iv been on the record and said that they won't do well this year that being said by 2010 or 2011 the Orioles will be in the thick of things with Nick Markakis Adam Jones Matt Wieters Nolan Reimold Lou Montanez Chris Tillmen David Hernandez Bradley Bergesen just to name a couple of the O's prospets that will help this team alot in the future they already have a young bullpin who has pitched well this year

Great thought. Too bad it's fantasy thinking. Angelos won't pay success. These players will only go where the money is. When they become a success they will take more money elsewhere. Nick Markakis will be playing somewhere else next year. They just slapped him in the face paying him peanuts compared to his peers.

Hey, nice video. I'm new to youtube, but feel I have to comment about the comments. I find it very funny that a so-called yankee fan keeps coming back to this video to comment over and over, listening to this song over and over. Must be a closet Orioles fan in denial. Myself, I'm a baseball fan in general. I respect the O's history & what they have accomplished this season, but my heart lies elsewhere(hint- we have no W.S. wins -ever!). Good luck O's fans!

alot of there great players though came from thier farm system and thats how you keep a team great for a long time look at the O's from 1966-1983 in that time period they had the best record the most world series apperences amd i belive most world series titles how did they do that a great farm system you look all of the teams that have won world series most have done it through thier farm system even the Yankees

from 66-83 yes they had the higest winning% and i was right about most world series apperences and they were tied with the A's with 3 titles in that time period

Wow, but i thought the Yankees went to the world series like 10 times during that period of time. Wow sorry i doubted your stats lol, i usually know stuff like this, it just seemed so unrealistic since the Orioles current drought. Man Peter Angelos pisses me off. I remember the year i think it was '99 or '98, he virtually started a all-farm team.

Either they fall behind early, or the middle relief of late finds ways to lose a game. Price you pay when you don't want to spend the money for better players. The Yanks and Red Sox will spend to get what they need.

lol this proves you are a front runner the Yankees have 26 championships but they won't help the Yankees win anything and Angelous has given Macphail full control and the O's are acually drafting well again and i don't think most O's fans expect us to finish over .500 that being said if thet can finish the season in the mid 70's in wins with the little talent they have in Baltimore that would be good for the O's and with the Talent in Bowie (wieters Tillmen etc)the O's have a bright future

Millar hasn't been Lazy he just isn't fast Mora has never been lazy Trembley has these guys playing hard everyday because they have 22 comeback from behind wins which is most in the AL and you don't lead the AL in comeback from behind by being lazy we alredy have a good bullpin we got young pitchers who will fill the rotaion in the future in the minors and like iv said Angelous has given Andy Macphail full control of the team have fun with Hank running the Yankees into the ground
