@nancyrellaallegro I think that there is some sort of inherent mediocrity when it comes to being a teenager. I always wanted to be a teenager during the early 90s. Its just the nature of being a that age. It always feels so much worse than it really is.
Listen to this kind of music, because its great... but don't wish your life away. You can still go outside and ride bikes on hot summer days and watch old tv shows and hang out with your friends. Those aspects of being a teenager are eternal.

Most punk bands weren't as melodic or as interesting as Blink or the Vandals. I used to play in a skate punk high school band, it's all about how fast you can play and very little about songwriting. Blink were an exception.
