The DVD of this show will be released Oct 6th in the US a week earlier in Europe. In a short interview Joe explains that he wouldn't play the way he plays without Clapton's influence. Clapton is a legend. Joe is working on that status. When Clapton sang his verse is when he announced to Joe you aren't quite there yet. That was what I noticed that night.
@500mgr stupid boy , Clapton is Clapton . He is not the better player of the world but he makes music ,he has his style and he is famous because he is original , he want just play music and noting else ...
you can't really compare, cause they've got their own styles, basically their own identity, so yea, it's hard to compare, bonamassa's good, really good, no doubt, but then again, look at clapton and what impact he's had on everyone. I'm sure even Bonamassa even mentioned clapton as his influcence. Anyways, based on the vid, in my opinion, Joe Bonamassa's good, awesome, but then again, you can't beat the master at his game, i'm sure even bonamassa would say that. Awesome Video by the way.
Clapton is Clapton. Joe can be anybody he wants to be. There isn't anything he can't play. But Clapton is Clapton and Joe is Joe. Joe is technicly as good as anybody. What Joe plays with is emotion. He is as expresive as Beck and agressive as Page. He is all that came before him in one package.
This is quite thrilling, I saw Joe play when he was about 12 years old, in a little roadhose about a mile from my house, in Rome, NY, he has certainly has come a long way!
Coooooool !!! Lucky YOU for being there!!! Lucky ME for being your first viewer!!! Am posting to my Facebook wall NOW!!! Thanks for shooting and sharing! Check out my channel if you want to see more Joe.... I've been a bit close a number of times. :) Good stuff, I promise!!!!
Clapton can make your heart and soul bleed from inside, Joe can peel the skin off

I see Joe's still using that plexiglass shield in front of his amps. Poor boy's gonna be deaf by the time he's 40...

Awesome to see Clapton up there with Joe. Think this European tour really got him on the map.

Best footage and sound quality of all viewed so far. I just saw JB in Westhampton NY and wondered if he and EC would hook up at RAH.
