No, no. I love being a Leaf fan in Montreal. It's a lot of fun once you get used to it. I was born and raised a diehard Leaf fan. Anyway, Sundin will always be a Leaf no matter what. Of course, when a player is traded, you can't have the mentality that you'll get him back just like that. But he will always be a Leaf and I wouldn't be surprised that if we do trade him this season, he'll re-sign with us in the summer. Tkachuk did it last year with the Blues-Thrashers-Blues.

hezzron73, Sundin will probably be traded and I wouldn't be upset if it is a fantastic trade. We can get a lot in return for Mats. I love him and always have, but he might have to be traded to bring in young, talented guns with heart. There is still the possibilty of trading Mats now and re-signing him in the summer. But one thing is for sure, he will never play for the Habs and he will NEVER, EVER, WANT to play for the Habs.

Sundin will say all the right things about wanting to stay in Toronto to Leafs fans. But don't kid yourself into thinking that if he's traded, he'll resign with the Leafs again. Once Sundin gets a taste of a successful team, he will not want to go back. My point was that Sundin would love to play for any good team right now, including the Habs as is on display in this video, as opposed to staying with the crappy Leafs. Shame on you for being a Leafs fan in Montreal. You should know better!

No, no. I love being a Leaf fan in Montreal. It's a lot of fun once you get used to it. I was born and raised a diehard Leaf fan. Anyway, Sundin will always be a Leaf no matter what. Of course, when a player is traded, you can't have the mentality that you'll get him back just like that. But he will always be a Leaf and I wouldn't be surprised that if we do trade him this season, he'll re-sign with us in the summer. Tkachuk did it last year with the Blues-Thrashers-Blues.

What's there to get used to? Not being able to wear a Leafs jersey outside your house? Tkachuk is just lucky to still be able to find a job in the NHL. It's not as if there was a long list of teams that wanted him. He's got friends on the Blues. Sundin will only go back to the Leafs if the rest of the league thinks he's finished and he still wants to play for some reason. Then the crazy Leafs will sign him back for honorary purposes which will get them nowhere as usual.

Maybe you're a little pussy, but I wear my Leafs jersey any time I want in Montreal. And what you said about Tkachuk and Sundin is borderline hilarious. Aside the stuoid thing you said about Tkachuk, Sundin is having a terrific season. He has 24 goals already and he's the only one on the team that's doing something every night. Many teams will want him and if we get him back, it's a lot more than just honorary purposes.

Maybe if you could read properly, you'd be able to stick to the subject. I never said Sundin wasn't good player now. I also said, he wouldn't come back to the Leafs next year because he'd enjoy playing for more successful teams, that he'd only come back when he was too old to play for anyone else. Then the stupid Leafs would still sign him just because he's "Sundin". But I hope he'd have the good sense to retire instead of doing that. And if you want to wear toilet paper for a jersey, go ahead.

If you really believe what you're saying is true, then I guess you missed trade deadline because Sundin had a chance to go anywhere he wanted, but he stayed with Toronto. He'd rather play with us than any "statistical contender". He's even quoted saying multiple times that he wants to retire a Leaf.

Hilarious in a good way. "i never knew what he was going to do. " go top shelf, bottom shelf, glove side,stick side" funny stuff. now about 93 again. You can't blame that on gretzkys non penalty. Theres no gaurantee that would have changed the outcome. plus there was a 25 year drought before that even happened. its also not montreals fault that we steamrolled everybody and had lots of time to get rested before each series.

Definitely hilarious! Yeah back to '93, it was Gretzky, the asshole, who scored the goal in overtime. Also, shortly after there was no call on his high stick, we got a penalty, so they had the advantage in overtime. With Gretzky in the box for 4 minutes and heading into overtime, there's a strong chance that our boys would have scored. I never insulted Montreal in '93, I'm just saying that with a day rest, the Leafs would have stormed into the Final. It would have been a series for the ages.
