What I love about Beck is that he questions everything. Yeah, he has a bias. He's a libertarian/conservative. Short of Larry and John King and Anderson Cooper on CNN, there are no unbiased reporters. At least Glenn Beck has the balls to tell me what his bias is. If you actually listen to his life story, you'll be about 80% certain he's sincere. Great to see someone talking about ways to alleviate the scarcity that is at the heart of both high costs and shortages, regardless of what 'system' is in place. Certainly government regulations that keep people from buying insurance across state lines are one issue, but what about the government sponsored monopoly of the AMA/ADA etc? Keeping a scarcity of practitioners is not acceptable. If a doctor who supports liberty will follow through to curtailing that monopoly he'll get my support.

People who wish to have health care insurance should purchase high deductible low cost catastrophic insurance for major illnesses. Then save the difference and put it in a medical savings fund for the little stuff like sore throats, and minor illnesses.

Then the doctors can compete for the lower cost office visits because people are paying cash.

As far as medicine costs are concerned, most of it is bad for you. The pharmaceutical companies are making a fortune off of the public's ignorance.
