it's not about disproving the bible. it'sabsolutely obvious that the bible has accurate historical details. through science/archeology we have confirmed that certain kings were indeed ruling when the bible states they were. we've confimed empires the bible mentions, and many other historical facts. but we've also confirmed those same facts about the Sumerians. kings, empires, etc...i am sorry but my response is too long for just one post. since youhave to approve them, i guess i'm out of luck...

you're clearly missing the point. my point is there are religious writings and texts that predate EVERYTHING written about in the bible. Sumerian religous texts state that the first human man was made from clay and his name was Adamu. that stuff came 6000 years ago, at what we know was the cradle of human civilization. however, the first books of Moses didn't appear until far later. coincidentally the fist man that Moses taught about was made from clay and named Adam.

but back to the original subject...what about all the other gods through out time? every human on earth had it wrong until some 100 years after the death of a jewish radical named Jesus of Nazareth? i mean, millions worshipped Zues and Athena and the other greek gods. and they did so for centuries.

No one, either prior to the Cross or since the Cross, would ever be Saved without that one pivotal event in the history of the world. Christ's death paid the Penalty for past sins of Old Testament saints& future sins of New Testament saints. The requirement for Salvation has always been Faith.

Gen 15:6 tells us that Abraham believed God& that was enough for God to credit it to him for righteousness (see also Rom 4:3-8). The Old Testament sacrificial system did not take away sin, as Heb 10:1-10 clearly teaches. It did, however, point to the day when the Son of God would shed His blood for the sinful human race.

@metalbandsinger - PT 3 of 8 - What's changed thru the ages is the content of a Believer's Faith.God's requirement of what must be Believed is based on the amount of revelation He's given mankind up to that time..Adam Believed the promise God gave in Gen3:15 that the Seed of the woman would conquer Satan. Adam believed Him, demonstrated by the name he gave Eve(v 20)& the Lord indicated His acceptance immediately by covering them with coats of skin (v 21).

Prior to Moses,no Scripture was written,but mankind was responsible for what God had revealed. Thru out the OldTestament,Believers came to Salvation b/c they Believed that God would someday take care of their Sin problem.Today, we look back, Believing that He's already taken care of our Sins on the Cross(John 3:16;Heb 9:28).

Did they understand the full picture of Christ dying on a Cross for their Sins? They didn't exactly know how He would accomplish that, any more than Adam, Abraham, Moses, or David knew how, but they Believed God.

so the bible says we all came from adam and eve...and that they had two sons...cain and abel...and that one day cain killed abel. but that would mean that cain would've had to conceive with his own mother in order for the human race to continue. which would mean we are all the products of incest. not only that but the bible doesn't even tell us where the egyptians came from. we just read that one day abraham and his wife wandering into egypt. and when they get there, there's already an empire

@SO4JTVandVideo ok so i read that page, and it says the same thing i did....that the bible doesn't specifcally say Adam and Even had other kids at the time Cain killed Abel, and even if they did, that page still says they would have to intermarry. Incest. now that page says the bible makes no claims for or against incest at that point. none of that explains how they were able to do so without genetic deformities. but i guess that God allowed their children to be born ok. right?

Way to many souls are duped while they are not truly converted. a lot of people are self-seeking and their going off feelings and emotionalism and not conviction of their sin, there's no true repentance but rather a lot of excuse making... to cover up faults!

when someone is truly converted they will produce fruit of it, they will renew their mind and put off their former lust not trying to carry those things into their relationship with the LORD!
