  • This is what real hip hop is. not some rap crap about absolutely nothing but drugs and women. this is the true roots to hip hop. its pure poetry.

  • fuckin TUNE

  • this song literally gave me more respect for Jim Jones

  • amazing gotta love how mos def adapted to this song.

  • this shit is so god damn good.....i hope rhianna breaks her voice box

  • So it's official. The Black Keys make EVERYTHING better :)

  • if wayne isn't an emcee then please elaborate on what a real emcee is?

btw its harder to stay mainstream and relevant for a long time the way wayne has been than to just stick to what you know and never step out of your comfort zone.

  • so that's where all the musical talent went... the black keys had it in their back pocket.

  • holy fuck.... the black keys, my favorite band, and mos def, one of my favorite mceesss. holy shit..... hoollly shit, this is too much for me to handle... am i dreaming? god damnnnnnnnnn AWESOMEMEEEEEE

  • I just love Mos Def!!!

  • This, was fucking amazing..

  • This, this right here, is MUSIC <3333333

  • @leftlane27 /agree stick to dan and mos def who's idea was it to bring jones in on it. . . still good though, he got carried like a mofo.

  • jim jones ruined this song

  • how could anyone not like this? blurring the boundaries of music is always a pure thing.

    Super cool, and soo true

  • the song hadn't even started and i knew it was going to be good.

    not surprisingly, i wasn't proven otherwise :)

    carry on, ladies and gents.

  • if you pause it at around 249 theres a shitload of pedals.

  • @eni1v3n chill dude i just love the song :)

  • Everything is right with this song.

  • Wheres the beard??

  • Wheres the beard??

  • @shizzlepimp I know right..., I flipped when I saw him hahaha. XD

  • Chillin, chillin, black keys.

Then i hear this song. Changed my taste in music? yeah.

  • I don't normally listen to hip hop but damn! this song is good. Black keys make everything more awesome.

  • the black keys are proving me to me that god really does answers prayers :

  • Next James Bond theme, make it happen!

  • "Love, I bruised 1 of her rose petals she was from the concrete and came up out the cold ghetto" that's like the sickest line in that whole song lol

  • Hoochie Coo like rollin a blunt at 2:22

  • @yakojjy actually 2:19

  • dope stuff!

  • I love that shit! When to oppisites attract and make it work the right way, I want more

  • hey thebewise.....you sound like an asshole, this is two worlds coming together to make a great jam, in your highly educated "hiphop head" its not the best, but real musicians dont set out to make singles, they set out to make music, it speaks to everyone different.......so put that in your pipe and blow it out your ass

  • Sounds like Gorillaz with a blues flavor

  • man this feels so surreal you dont need to be wasted or high to halucinate shit

  • @WolfAttackFromSpace lol. The only reason that I mentioned that is because someone commented earlier (paraphrasing) that "if you're not feeling this song then you're not a true hip-hop head". That's all.

  • its a LEGEND!!!!

  • @MrFlipdip it's not a legend, because everyone still alive :)

  • it sounds so much like john legend

  • I actually think this song is average at best, and I consider my self a "true" hip hop head. I might have to check out more of Black Keys material though in order to fully understand their sound and how they get down, but this collab with jim and mos def is disapointing in my opinion.

  • @Thebeewise459 You'll find that their music is actually quite excellent. I recommend that you start with their album "Brothers", and work your way backwards. Peace.

  • amazing pair of talented musicians!!!

  • I'm into heavy metal, and this catches my ear without a doubt.

    Sick tune

  • Hip Hop is beautiful... 'nough said.

  • Damn great. I love both Black Keys and Mos Def, and somehow if there was ever going to be a band and a rapper that would go well with eachother I knew it would be Black Keys and Mos Def before I even checked out this video. Jim Jones I've never heard of until now, but he's sick.

  • damn mos knows he's the shit too. fukkin magic this guy.

  • damnnnnnnn :)

  • MY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh, so that's where real hip hop went...

  • @mjm2005 I agree. Enough of this Eminem shit and lil wayne shit. We need more of this, the roots and kid culi

  • @mjm2005 Jones ruined this song - Shoulda got some1 else.. track started out hot - then fell way the fuck off

  • @leftlane27 derp derp,

  • since iam fan of all three acts in story of music, we marriage the idea saying WHAT!!

  • this that shit this like the remix to back in the day in Chicago wit the blues band listening to that as a kid aw man

  • this is the definition of heaven on Earth......

  • I BUY MUSIC and YOU buy PANTS hahaha loosers !!! yes YOU

  • Awesome!! Mos Def

  • now this is music.

  • The Black Keys are the fucking tits!

  • I like this whole concept of new hip-hop that doesn't suck. They should stick wit this!!

  • @nuggz503 this "concept" is not new you ignorant retard, hip hop doesn't suck! same way rock doesn't suck! there's some people thAT SUCK AT IT... spam balls go eat a dick you simple minded scum bag : )

  • @IIIFaMoUz All you Lil Wayne fans are so angry. Just accept that Lil wayne is not Hip-hop = D

    -Peace

  • @nuggz503,

and what is Hip Hop? Last time I checked Hip Hop was just rapping over a beat........Lil' Wayne is Hip Hop now get over it....

  • @UltraKid808 Kid, stfu... Hip Hop is an urban culture that is based upon 5 elements/arts, emceeing, djing, grafitti, b-boying and knowledge... read up upon things before running your cock sucker...

  • @GrimmjowProduction,

I know what it is dumbass but he obviously referring to the genre not the culture so gtfo. I'm probably older than you as well, smfh. YouTube is full of immature/arrogant people like you.

  • @UltraKid808 It's your comment that is immature and arrogant, when the fuck did LiL Wayne become an Emcee ?

  • @GrimmjowProduction,

lol at my comment being immature and arrogant. All I say was that Lil' Wayne was Hip Hop which alot of your favorite rappers would agree with. smfh

  • @UltraKid808 I don't have any favorite rapper... and LiL Wayne ain't hip hop compared to the standard..

  • @GrimmjowProduction,

Yes he is. The first singles off Tha Carter 3 & IV were songs with a beat based off drums & bass plus it had no hook, it was just Wayne spittin' on a hard beat. If that's not Hip Hop then gtfo tbh and Talib Kweli would agree with me.

  • @UltraKid808 I don't agree with Talib Kweli or anybody but me, emceeing isn't the same as rapping, what LiL wayne did is rapping, he got some decent songs, but he aint emceeing and he ain't an emcee, thereby he aint no fucking hip hop artist, until he gets his rapgame together and start spittin some real killer lyrics, let them be about bitches and stuff, I don't care, he need to get his peformance together, and thats whats up. stfu and move on.

  • @GrimmjowProduction I think Lil Wayne is a real emcee! he just rarely uses his full potential. considering the fact that he has occasionaly done different types of songs and exploring different themes ( and I stress occasionally!!!), hes an emcee who would often just settle for RAPPIN' when he could do much more...

so hey!! in the meantime, fuck it! ill stick to ma Talib kweli, mos, monch, roots, KRS, slaughterhouse, dilapted peoples, ... ya know! one!
