This is wrong!! When bent toward kinocilium, firing rate INCREASES (depolarization). When bent in direction of stereocilium, firing rate decreases (hyperpolarization).

When the cilia are bent towards the kinocilium, the firing rate decreases....when the stereocillia are bent toward the kinocilium the hair cell depolarizes actually.....please correct if i am wrong
