i feel like a lot of people can't tell when autotune is used.

this piece is VERY generously autotuned, and was probably used more as an effect than a correcting tool (a lot like T-pain or imogen heap's "hide and seek").

when people cant tell if auto tune is used in something like this, there are probably alooooot of songs where it was used more discreetly and they definitely wouldnt know it.

makes me a little upset that people are giving credit where it's undeserved.

To anyone who doesn't have the studio experience to know what the "tone" of auto tune is - just put on some old Eagles songs like "Take It Easy" and you can see what non-auto tuned harmonies sound like - pure!

The tone of his blends gives it away that he's using some degree of auto tune or note correction processing. I can't know whether or not he sounds so tight and blended without the additional help unless ijkappas puts up another video of the four part harmony without the pitch correction effects used to make this sound so good. I'm not knocking ijkappas at all, I just want to hear what it sounds like without any auto tune features.

autotune artifacts are all over this. really if u dont hear it then u are retarded. ive worked in a studio for over 5 years, and there are different settings that you can make autotune less apparent (not like t-pain).

melodyne is another way to do this. but regardless its pitch corrected, even tho this kid might be great at singing he used it to the point of being obvious.
