when i use the backround eraser i then get the normal eraser but when i use it it will not make the coulour i want it will make squares like the background eraser! plz help

i followed what you said to do...and the eraser still wont erase just the background...it erases everything. i have fiddled with the tolerance level and different size brushes and it still wont work...help

My photo liiks just like yours... checkerboard gray and white... but the saved image has a white background.

good explainig but
i got another issue with the bacground eraser this:
it would delete but i have to click-click-click in ordeer to erase i cant just hold the mouse and start moving around to erase

try a smaller tolerance percentage and making the brush smaller. If the brush "hardness" is adjustable, try playing with those settings too.

Try lowering the tolerance on the upper Tool Options bar.
