No. In my opinion, on Golden Girls, Rose literally didn't get it. Whereas on Designing Women, Charlene got it, but she just couldn't come to believe it and was determined to chase after truth that wasn't there. Charlene literally grew up within a big family with traditional family values and the belief that everyone is good deep down. Rose was legitimately clueless. There is a similarity, but a stark difference, between the characters of Rose and Charlene.
