Never thought I would find an angry YouTuber on this particular page bitching about this fantastic piece of music. With such a disappointing argument no less. What was I thinking?
@jenlikeshorses This is pretty funny if true. At the same time, I really doubt Mark is like trying to affirm any solipsism esque philosophy here either. I know this is my interpretation, but this feels like Mark is stuck not knowing what is truth and what isn't, while conversely other people live their lives not considering what is true and what isn't, and he's frustrated about both problems.
The music business is brutal. Sure there are worse things in the world, but it's all relative really. For those of us fortunate enough to not have to worry about being machete'd in the street, lamenting the greed of music industry fatcats isn't overdrama... Especially for musicians. It's more difficult now than ever and music is actually suffering. Noone can afford to take risks anymore.

It doesnt matter what you think bitch, we are having our fun! hate & joy go hand in hand when there is so many worthless self important wasters growing out of the woodwork, why would we stop? great boob implants by the way, but you should have fixed your nose first :)
you are too fucking stupid to articulate a complete paragraph so I dont know wheter you meant with that spastic comment that you think the song in general, musically & lyrically wise is not trivial or that you think the music business is not trivial.
derpestarzt, I'm sorry, people should only make art that pertains to YOU and not their own personal lives, right? The music business can be brutal, and if that's your life, what's wrong with writing a song about it?

"The music business can be brutal" LOL
Do you live in the same world as I do? brutal are genocides in ruanda, cancer & child abuse.
The nonsense methaphores & the overdrama in this song is fine while you could use your imagination and think "maybe he is confronting the problems of existencialism" or whatever the fuck, but when that retard says its about the music business... bitch please its either a joke or he write the songs with his ass.
Wow. I never saw this before. Thanks.

lol, of course it's post-punk. it's similar to bands like The The, JD, Echo and other bands... probably one of the deepest genres in music.
