  • Would be funny if his pony tale was caught in the doors

  • What a fucking queer that guy with the pony tail is. He should've got a slap for talking to a passenger like that. Especially when the guy he was saying it to was about 65 years old. Disgusting.

  • Why is everybody on a fucking powertrip? Just look at the body language of everybody in this video. Its fucking disturbing

  • greedy bastard tube workers want triple pay fucking greedy cunts fuck u

  • lols

  • I would rather spend £20 in bus fares & walk several miles to get to a destination than ever have to set foot on the tube....

  • THAT OLD MAN IS A CUNT....

HE DID NOT GIVE A FUCK...

    JUST BOPPED ON THE TUBE...

    LIKE A BOSS....

  • @supahdupahguy81 genius

  • That old bloke should have fucking nutted the gobby cunt.

  • whadda cunt

  • What on earth was that all about, can author of this vid explain please...

  • The guy at 0:46 is like "Wtf is he talking to me?"

  • "Fling him under a train"

  • Love how they don't show the whole story. The old man was being a dick and a general cunt. They didn't let him on the train. The worker did good and I tip my hat to him and all LU staff. Fuck off, without them, you would not be able to make your daily commutes.

  • @ShadowRSonic What was the whole story then - what did he do? And I agree with you that the Underground does a good jobs of getting people into the centre everyday, and they don't seem to get much credit for it...

  • @Rabbitbunvoo

I can't remember the whole story now, it's been a while since this popped up.

  • @ShadowRSonic fuck off u pussy i bet that u wanna fuck ponytail up the arss u sick fuck lol go fuck ur 2 year old daughter or boy as well :)

  • @MrJS75

....What? Where did that come from? Like seriously, what the fuck? I think you're just trying to get something off your chest there.

  • a jumped up little git? he's like 80years old bro :P

  • It's not just in London, my cousin was on a train (Hull trains) which departed before they'd managed to get pushchairs etc on board; fortunately they got their kids on but another woman wasn't so lucky, her kid/s actually got left on the platform! Only a matter of time before someone is killed.

  • old man : WHY DONT YOU SELL TEA CAKES ON THE TRAIN

  • people slate the underground staff i take my hat of to them i dont think anyone including myself knows what they have to put up with

  • "little girl like you"- Tube Worker with a ponytail

  • @120NALD0 Lol!

  • @120NALD0 lool

  • @120NALD0 Maybe that's a reference to what he has to listen everyday..

  • @120NALD0 Ahahaa

  • would have pushed the fecker in front of the train

  • that old man rocks

  • Old people usually are cunts

  • what did the old fellow do?

  • 19 dislikes are the worker and his 18 closest friends.

  • @formulacountdown I do not know anyone in this video and voted it down because of the old buggers carrying on. That man should be ashamed of himself.

  • @Daikenboy Sorry, it was satirical. I just thought "It works on other videos so why not this one?"

  • I bet that fucking old rail passenger is a miserable bastard. Typical old chap, making a mountain out of a mole hill and then expecting the other person on the receiving end to fall in line. It would have been good if that underground worker did sling him under a train.

  • Cliffhanger. . . !

  • spanish idiot...

  • I'm sure ho wouldn't appreciate you calling him 'elderly'

  • Oh I long to travel the london underground myself when I travel to uk in the future. Looks a lot better than the TTC's subway system in Toronto, Canada where I'm from.

  • @digitalman28 Our network is currently undergoing a lot of work to refresh stations, replace old trains/tracks/signals and any other aged equipment. TTC is probably in much better condition than LU lol.

  • I hope he has been sacked...ponytailed little Hitler.

And before people start bleating, I have worked for the railways, so know what it is like.

  • @hostnottingham Apparently, he quit.

  • i know this guy always has such a rotten attitude i think he has been sacked

  • If they did stop the train then about 15 trains will be delayed

  • @camdidafart Sometimes, things like that happen, but it has to be done in some situations.

  • He calls the elderly man Arsehole at 47 seconds

  • LONDON where all snobs live.

  • @lester5192 LOL

  • Anyone got the name and address of this fool so we can fuck him up

    thanks

  • @LeClassics "We" so your not that much of a man/girl to face him one on one then.

  • No matter what the old guy did or didnt do; the guy in the high vis jacket was way out of line. He is a representative of the underground. Imagine if the staff in BnQ called your grandad a tosser and told him to get out of the store because he accidently spilt a tin of paint. Its completely unacceptable.

The fact that this guy might take abuse every day doesnt excuse him. Its the job he picked. Plenty of people take shit from customers at work everyday, and they dont fly off the handle.

  • @xpoc I was in a branch of Courts' furniture place not long before it went bankrupt (after they'd taken people's money and unfulfilled their orders) where a member of staff told a customer 'don't give me that shit'..and later said 'fucking piece of shit' within everyone's earshot.

  • Gordon Brown @ 0.47

  • typical brit, always angry and depressed. i been to london b4 and boy, people there are the most depressed people i've ever seen in Europe.

  • @Tennessee44444 are u a yank?

  • @Tennessee44444 yeah people in london are depressed because of tourists like yourself

  • @Tennessee44444 that's why I left. It's not just in London, tho' it's worse there than the rest of the country.

  • @hstscotsman How do you know?? You can't even hear the conversation

  • The stupid bastard needs a kicking for that. I know the stupid old man shouldn't have just hopped on b4 the doors shut. The other day some stupid indian bird nearly got stuck when my train was ready to leave. I would have been bloody glad if she got stuck and the train carried on with her in the door.

But imagine if that old person was ur grandma or grandpa

  • The term 'New World Order' basically means lots of idiots in corporate logo emblazoned high vis jackets, taking their jobs far too seriously because of all the training seminars they've attended. 'Passenger Safety Officers' and the like..

What happened to plain old chirpy, friendly helpful HUMANS?..

Nowadays it's automated messages every 15 seconds..

And station staff over doing it with the platform tannoy..

And millions upon millions of "Drone Tourists' ..

  • @seekYEthetruth agreed

  • that was a little bit out of order |:

  • This whole thing is bullshit. How can you even get your arm trapped in a train door for 30 seconds? Even if he is elderly, the station was packed and those doors really aren't hard to open.

  • Total Arseholes. I guess If I wanted I could have my pound of flesh of London Transport, the bloody doors closed on me when I was boarding a train last time I was in London. It was quite painful and I think London Transport were lucky I did not sue.

  • @inregionecaecorum LOL, a penny you would not have got....there is a tititititititi sound before the door closes..........u should not try to board the tube when the sound is ON.................titititititititiititititititi

  • @inregionecaecorum They have to close sometime, and idiots like you try and get on when they're closing instead of waiting for the next train. If they waited for everyone before they closed there wouldn't be any tubes going anywhere!

  • @inregionecaecorum your lucky they did not sue you fucking idiot listen for the bleeps that tell you when the doors are about to close

  • ITS NO YELLOW LINE... IT'S A FUCKING YELLOW LINE!

  • I didn't catch a word of the angry subway worker's rant. What did he say?

  • This isn't the full video.

It cut's off before he says:

    "Sling him under a train".

Which is the worst part of his entire verbal attack as he's threatening to kill him. The last thing somebody who is there for customer safety should be doing.

  • @Saterik82 if you listen carefully at about 0:50 - 0:51 you can just hear him say that.

  • What on earth was all that about?

  • haha what a cunt

    should of spat on him

i wouldnt of moved for shit if i did fuck all wrong

  • Jonathan Macdoanld wanted attention for himself.

You see, I have no doubts in my mind that the passenger probably got what he deserved, even though that employee should of kept his mouth shut!

There are many times when I have tried to deal with customer questions, and some pompous toff rudely interrupts because he has damaged his own Gold Card.

  • What did the old git do?

  • @poorpilot00 Yeah, good point cos I don't get the vibe here... lol

  • What were they arguing about?

  • What a fucking prick

  • Mind you I don't think the dude should have lost his job, he obviously wanted to look like he had a pair of balls alongside his female colleague. I'm afraid you tend to learn the hard way in these situations. He should have got a warning and been sent for retraining.

  • So he tried to stop the train. Then he was out of order allright. Surely London underground have orderly procedures to deal with this? Why not just respectfully inform the culprit that unless he removes himself from the train a British Transport Police officer would meet him on exiting, then ALLOW the train to carry on, after all one mans stupidity should not impede the progress of hundreds of tired commuters. Ranting, screaming should play no part in this interaction.

  • Well this hitler in a flourescent jacket behaved completely unprofessionally. Irrespective of whatever was said beforehand by the elderly citizen there are correct protocols and professional behaviour to follow and one should not allow oneself to become emotionally engaged.

  • Like the quality of this Vid

  • yeah its pretty good quality, anyone know what phone it was recorded on?

  • It is rather annoying how I've had a lot of rubbish from people saying that "London Underground staff are rubbish" when in fact, the opposite is true. The example of this one man who clearly doesn't appreciate the fact that he has a job is not followed by any other member of London Underground staff. However i must say well done to the person who filmed this appalling instance of customer care

  • Geez people are so difficult sometime in New York people try to threaten to push in the freaking tracks and throw lighters in the kiosk to scare people craziness

  • the tfl guy was disturbing the peace. they could've said don't do it again and have been through with it but he had to go on and on and on....ruining everybdy's day.

  • What a scumbag that git Ian with the pony tail is. Useless, useless little fucker.

  • I did 12 years on the railways and saw plenty of rude staff. I must have issued dozens of Form One's and done disciplinarys.

That long haired ladyboy would have got one from me too........behaving like a typical brat with a hat.

  • HAHA! I see a lot of London Underground staff are thumbing up all the pro-LU comments on here. Hilarious.

  • @semieden

There is nothing funny about that...neither is there anything funny about this video.

I work for National Rail, and am well aware that passengers' are not as innocent as they like to claim.

What is Hilarious, is how people are passing judgements with no knowlege of what actually happened before!

  • If I was there, I would say to the crowd "Ignore him, everyone, he needs a haircut"

  • 230pm???

  • I know one thing, I wouldn't do comic book store guys job. These folk get up at 3am to start their early shifts and sometimes don't finish as late as half 1.30am. They get abused (both physically & verbally),spat at, demoralised and all because they try to help the London public. I spoke to one of them at my local tube & apparently the 'elderly' man had consistently insulted the female, which was why the dude was unwilling to let him on. He resigned 'cause he would have gone with all the pressure

  • @toysrmuff

That wouldn't surprise me at all!

I am only 19 years old, and am apalled at the ignorance of the general public.

They will try to: Intimidate, condescend, spit at, assualt, bully and just general ignorance.

I get Gold Cards shoved in my face, my miserable people that seem to find it difficult to say thank you.

When I first joined, I was enthusiastic, didn't expect everyone to be polite. 18 months later, I feel like a bomb waiting to explode at the end of every shift.

  • @toysrmuff You wanna try being a passenger mate

  • @toysrmuff WHY THE FUCK DO YOU GO ON STRIKE THEN YOU STUPID CUNTS

  • @toysrmuff I know the shifts on London Underground are hard, but that is no excuse for the unprofessional behaviour of that worker. He chose to work for LU, knowing shifts can be early or late and we all have those days where we aren't in good moods, but when you're serving the public and trying to help, regardless to their actions, you cannot be the same. I know if someone gives me abuse for trying to help, I keep my cool and rise above it.

  • i like the underground system.apart from the need to maake it more disabled freindly its fine

  • people like them that use the train to take up space.... Yh man been working from God knows how long and he doesn't need people like him to mess up his day... He must of worked with the LU for months or years and the old git tooked it away from him.

And did anyone see the lady talking to the old man and he would listen he just walked onto the train

  • did he get off

  • What exactly did the old man do wrong?

  • He tried to stop the doors closing and caused a delay

  • gfunk1975

Now perhaps you could answer a couple for me.

Have you, really, ever heard a transport worker scream at a passenger? Hmm?

And since you know the Cameraman Of The Year, could you please ask him to put the footage of his vainglorious tv appearances on Youtube, and if he won't can you ask him why not? He's been asked more than once on his own blog to do it but he doesn't respond. I wonder why. He looked so pleased with himself at the time, and he could be back in the limelight.

  • Comment removed

  • friendlyhipp0

    You didn't answer my questions, that's all I asked.......initially.

  • I've answered your first question.

As to the second, yes, look up the meaning of indiscretion, the tfl bloke only called the arrogant old git a little git and a little girl, a minor indiscretion, hardly the crime of the century. The last remark was made as he walking away and the old fart was safely inside the train, that's not a threat as your chum would have us believe.

Perhaps you could clarify the bit about police/teacher/doctor, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

  • I know Jonathan McDonald and many people do from my hometown as he's an upstanding guy with an intact moral compass....he's a good lad so leave it. That TFL guy shouldn't be talking to passengers like that. A good mate of mine works on the railways and says commuters can be extremely frustrating as some treat them like 2nd class citizens. However, if you read Jon's full account it's plain to see the TFL guy was well out of order and should show better professionalism...respect goes both ways!

  • Yes, he sounds like a lovely man. Don't just get someone the sack for a moment's indiscretion, however sorely that man may have been tried, do your best to ruin his life as well by getting the mayor involved at the start, and plastering it all over the internet before reporting it through the proper channel. I have read his biased and exaggerated account and I know I'm not alone in thinking his moral compass is about as accurate as his other one, the one that says east when it means west.

  • A few questions for you friendlyhipp0;

    1) How do you know the account is biased or exaggerated?

    2) If you spoke to a customer/client or your boss that way do you feel this would be treated as 'a moment of indiscredton'? Or maybe a Police Officer/Teacher/Doctor etc etc.....

Overall I think the LU staff are awesome and I support their policy on abuse and prosecution, but this bloke took the biscuit and that's just not on.

  • gfunk1975

This will take more than one dialog box to answer.

The answer to your first question is simple - I read his blog. Read of reread it yourself and see how he depicts a middle aged man as "elderly" and slow and caught up in the mad "rush" in order to arouse sympathy for him and antipathy for the tfl staff, who are "shouting" and "in uniforms" i.e they are bossy. Actually, there's no mad rush when a train empties out, and staff do have to make themselves heard.

  • The "elderly" man moves as fast as anyone to get on the next train. MacD then says the tfl man screams at the elderly man. Really? Ever heard a transport worker scream at anyone? I doubt. Next he links fare rises to what he laughably calls staff threatening to throw passengers under trains, as if there was a serious threat. There's too much to repeat on here but the whole thing is slanted, in an attempted subtle way but still slanted.

Oh and he's too scared to go to Holborn again. Right.

  • When you've read his blog about the minor altercation at Holborn, have a look at his January rant about the rail service and its staff - he's clearly got a bee in his bonnet about public transport and how useless they all are, hence the bias. Maybe he could try running a transport system, I'm sure he'll do a wonderful job.

Think about it, he's a marketing man and he does what marketing men do - exaggerate and embellish. They just can't help themselves.

  • Jonathon Macdonald your a dick for filming this..

perhaps next time you travel through Holborn station you should be slung under a train...

  • He's in mobile phone advertising or something, and is now no doubt making plenty of money out of money out of the hapless Ian, who lost his job. In his blog he says he only posted it on youtube and alerted all the media, it's not his fault it went viral. Like piling tinder round a wood cabin, lighting it, then saying, "I only set light to the tinder, not my fault the cabin burnt down with someone in it"

His first words were when he crowed "He'll lose his job for this" as he walked away.

  • @bearcub2006

Please elaborate why Jonathon is a @dick' for filming this.

  • I'll never comment about the Tokyo subway ever again. Trains might be crowded but they are always exactly on time and the staff are always extremely polite and aren't always striking. What do they strike for? The right to abuse the hands that feed them? That's just shocking

  • Star Wars are looking for a new Jedi....!

  • What a thoroughly repulsive, obnoxious excuse for a human being. I know how frustrating working with the public is, but to behave like this? thats totally uncalled for in public. And as for the passengers - why on earth didn't anyone say anything? London brings out a very odd side to the human nature

  • There's a comment further down about 'if he (Mr Morbin) was blameless, why did he resign?'. It was probably a case of 'jump or be pushed.' LUL, after (hopefully) undertaking a full investigation, and not just relying on this video, must have decided to fire him. If so, a resignation usually looks better on a CV than being sacked. (The formal notification of being fired would be held back to allow the resignation to be filed. It's a fairly common practice in large Companies.)

  • what a class A cunt

  • If the old guy didn't do as I instructed I would have taken him to a private room away from the public and given him a bollocking or smack round the ear - not in public.

  • @TheBLWB knock his ass to the 3rd rail. lmao

  • What's with the fingerless gloves?

  • lol that guy got awesomley blanked by the man :)

  • The fat pony tailed bastard has been forced to resign, that will teach him to abuse the elderly..

  • LOL! This was on BBC London just like 2 mins ago!!! the person who uploaded this (Jonathon Macdonald) was also interviewed! Cant beleev the guy in this vid resigned!! LOL!

  • whos a jumped up little git?

  • Ha ha ha FAIL.

What a prick, he deserved to lose his job! If I was that old man I would have smacked him round the face with my briefcase!

  • You are just as big as a cock it seems. Do you even know why he was screaming at the old man. Ask that question first.

  • about time he's gone...shud be given the SACK instead of letting him resigned...he's definitely in the WRONG JOB if he cant stand people or services... !!!!

  • Wow, getting the sack for calling someone a git? What happens to me when I call them a f**king c*nt then..... Cmon, you guys know what you're like when in 'commuter mode' - why don't you work later, get a later train, and relax on your way home...

  • @marcmaclennan You obvioulsy don't live in london

  • LOL, I've just read the blog, and if that is true then I take my comment back, its good that you filmed it.

But I still think that he should have only been suspended or given a warning. The media had a big role in making Ian resign.

  • Bravo, well done filming this.

I still have nightmares remembering when I had to use London's Tube daily, the second worst in the world (the first being Madrid's).

  • so Mr Ian Morbin has decided to resign... WTF is going on??? whoever filmed this and put it on youtube, well done to you as you have cost this man his JOB.

There is no way that if this video was not on the media, would Ian have resigned or lost his job, maybe a warning or something but nothing more.

The elder man should come forward and take some of the blame. How is Ian going to get a new job?

btw I do not work for LU or anyway connected to Ian.

  • Elderly man? Some smart, grey haired business man with high-flyer suit and bag combo - and no doubt the arrogance to match. I bet he was fucking bitch to the tube staff and then got this bloke fired. Imagine working on the tube in rush hour, everyday... imagine the snobs, the abuse, the thanklessness of it. Ian Morbin, I salute you. 'Elderly man' and Johnathan MacDonald, well, you two "champions of the people", deserve a kick in the balls.

  • Following an elderly man shouting abuse, what a quality guy! A real asset (hole) to London. What happened to a little respect?

  • he shouldnt lose his job for that. just imagine how much stick hes received in order to wind him up like that!

  • Great picture quality - what was this filmed on?

  • Johnathan Mcdonald is a man after his 15 minutes of fame.

One of these stereotypical commuters' that have no doubt possibly abused staff previously.

  • Ian Morbin needs a haircut

  • i dont understand british english :P

  • its where the language was made and invented any1 else speaking it has borrowed it

  • it is the version of English that wasn't bastardised by the Americans.

  • in not american nor am i british xDD but understand american better :P

  • Нормальный парень. А то лезу,т как из деревни в Москве, Последний же поезд ведь. А вот отпилит нах бошку, будут знать.

  • ''YAWN'' this page is looking like something off district daves forum, how many LU staff are jumping to his defence! fair enough it's a difficult job but there's a thing called customer service and you all need to open your eyes and see whatever the situation calling someone ''little man'' ''little girl'' in front of this many people is uneccessary, unprofessional and probably quite humiliating for the ''old git''.

  • LOL too true.

They love to say we dont know the full story and that that means the member of staff has done nothing wrong, but they cant say that if they do not know the full storu :P

  • I believe the point is, with the full story, you can make an informed decision on what actually happened and why a sequence of events culminated in this shouting match. The 'full story' ensures, if staff are sacked, the company has at least attempted to investigate / cover all bases, including any mitigating circumstances. Everybody deserves a fair hearing, after all.

  • If Ian was blaimless then he would not have resigned.

  • Not necessarily. The strain must have been tremendous.

  • wow, look, you were there when "something" happened and you had a camera.

and in the interests of self-promotion, you've put it on the internet now.

    go you

  • We all reach snapping point, some people know it and take a backward step and cool down, not everyones capable of that though, what I want to know though, is what right does another individual have to broadcast it, film it, yes, for evidence against the offender, ok, but actually BROADCAST it, which putting it here is, I don't know, don't film companies have to pay you or at least get your permission?

  • Good answer!! lol, Very witty. Genuinely. But I meant the row between these two!

  • Also, there is a tendency for reporters to quote the salary earned by LUL Staff, every time an associated, negative, story arises, but why? I it supposed to promote envy among readers, or are they saying if a person earns a reasonable salary they are allowed to be abused at will? For me, station staff have one of the most difficult jobs on the Underground and they need passenger cooperation when giving direction / guidance during delays, but they don't always get it. Good luck to Mr Morbin.

  • Well said Mr.6292

Everyday LU staff get slapped kick punched and verbally abused and I am sure by some of these very same people complaining now. He was out of order but I do not think he should lose his job.

  • Well put Mr6292. I agree 100%n with you.

  • /agree

How are they supposed to do their job if they can't rely on the cooperation of the public?

  • For this member of staff to delay a train, there had to be a very good reason. This short video does not give the full story, so it's unfair to make any judgement on this evidence. Sadly, some members of the public feel they are 'above' being told what to do by London Underground staff and carry on regardless, even if it means putting themselves and others at risk. I have seen both Staff working at Holborn regularly, and they are generally excellent. There is much more to this story.

  • Where did he delay the train? He changed his mind when he rearlised he was being a twat.

  • He was saying 'this train will not move' and, as he was doing platform duty, possibly along with the other member of staff, they have the ability to delay the train by not giving the driver the signal to proceed.

  • driver only goes when they see fit, staff on platform are only there to say "hey its all good to close your doors and go" when its packed

  • Platform Staff can stop a train by using an emergency signal to the driver (not the paddle) and the driver will, initially, obey that signal. The driver then informs the line controiller, via radio, of the situation and awaits further instruction. In normal operation, if the driver has clear signals and can see a clear platform but staff are slow to raise the paddle, then yes, he/she will close the doors and go.

  • I think this has been blown out of proportion a bit, whilst the guy has made a mistake I don't see how it is justified to start slagging him off and publicly humiliating him
