Instead of trying to figure out how to over come the issue of the ball bearing passing through or over the pivot in the center, have the wheel supported at the bottom by either magnetic levitation, frictionless bearings, or at least bearings which exert the least amount of resistance against the movement of the wheel.

Doesn't matter how much time spent... until one can figure out how having the side of a fulcrum with LESS force oppose and push back the side of the fulcrum with MORE force... this thing ain't going no where. You can simplify this nonsense to a teeter totter with a fat kid on the far end of one side and a little kid on the far side (equal distance) on the other side and expect the little kid to lift the big kid.

@pimpofdoom Butt it is actually trying to push four balls in varying points away from the fulcrum (one at max distance if you see) with ONE ball at one point. Anyone can clearly see that the total sum on one side is a fat kid and the other side is a little kid. Someone did a simulation with ZERO friction in the system. Check out JULIANBASSETT and her video. It isn't an animation like this, it is a simulation.

@pimpofdoom You're right, it has nothing to do with it because nothing like that is happening. Watch the wheel, there are 1-2 balls JUST as far out as the one supposedly capable of pushing them up. Immediately you are telling me that somehow the balls get lighter on one side than on the other. Imagine trying to spin 4 balls with one being all the way out, one being just a little bit closer, one being a little closer than that, and one almost to the start... that is what it happening.

The rolling ball has momentum fine, but that outward momentum hitting the outer rim is LOST ENERGY. If however an ANGLED PLATE WAS ADDED AT THE END OF THE ROLL so that the rolling ball's force was re-directed into the direction of the spin yes, it would probably work. @Guldburkan Extremely little loss when the back of the plate is against a spring set in the direction of the wheels circumference so what happens is the ball hits the plate, imparting energy into the spring, the spring pushes BOTH WAYS, giving the ball a springboard off to continue in its path and cycle. You get energy from both forward AND backward action. I don't see where there's much loss in that. In addition you can put float balls on the axle ends in fluid for near weightlessness of Space.

That won't work. The descending balls are far more distant from the axis, adding more leverage but there are far more balls on the raising side. The added weight compensates fore the extra leverage.

Has anyone else noticed that there are four balls going up and two going down? The reason this will not work is that each ball has x amount of potential energy based on how high it is. You get that energy out as it loses elevation. Thats the good part. The only problem is that you have to put the same amount of energy into it to achieve the same elevation it had before. In a closed system you get the same energy out that you put in. Its the law. An open system would be a hydroelectric dam.

I have a working design, based on this idea. However, those balls are running down a coil shaft,(sort of like those flashlights you can shake up and get power from). The shaft the wheel is spining on rests between 2 horozintal rodin coils that are charged by the balls frinction generation in the wheel. Basically the shaft is rotating on a type of frictionless levitation and once the wheel gets motiving, it sends a small charge over to a couple rodin coils that help turn th shaft further.
