Fail. No import should ever grace the KITT mantle. The KIFT was a Dodge/Mitsubishi disguised as a Pontiac Banshee(hidden Fail). I thought that movie Knight rider 2000 was cool until I found out that the KIFT was a friggin import. I don't wanna sound like an old fart, but they need to stop bandwagoning with the imports and keep American things American. just imagine a black reventon with a scanner light in the nose. It looks one hell of a lot more like the car of the future that KITT was supposed to be when the show was airing back in the 80's. Retro cars are cool and all but KITT has no place inside a car inspired by a classic (let alone one with a live axel). Remember how he objected to being put in the body of a 57 chevy? Thats almost exactly what they did here. The 57 chevy is a beauty but its too classic for KITT.

aggreed. btw I checked the forums and not many seem to like the mustang idea. On wikipedia we find that the protagonist is supposed to be michael knights estranged son "mike tracer" and hasslehoff will make guest appearnces on it to try to give it some shred of legitimacy (and fail).
