@dravidwake I'm not a native speaker and by far not using English that often but in my opinion Jerry's utterances are absolutely good to understand if you -in general- know the things he's speaking of.
@MyBloodblade stop all enemy threats, make your own, when ure up material u can easily make all of your opponents pieces get overloaded. and with simple tactics finish the game nicely.
At 6:12 why not have a SHOCKING MOVE of black knight take on h3. Two things happen: either white king moves or retakes with pawn, the only defender of f3 which is pinned to the queen, either way allowing black to win a pawn protecting the white king
@majorsromo Sometimes the highest rated commentators seem to articulate badly because they're speaking on a completely different level. Personally I find IM Andrew Martin's vids to be the best between accessibility and detailed analysis: his youtube username is YMChessMaster
Nice vid and game here though, cheers to chessnetwork for that.
at 6:42 why didn't the black Bischop on h5 take the knight on f3? what do i miss here?
instead the black roock retreats...
and at 13:08 the white bishop can move in fact... if it moves to f7 it would interrupt the connection between white queen and roock in thir mate-constellation
Watching the game, really like the forcing yet subtle Rc2+! It is one of those moves with a deep point:
A) Pushes the king back to the first rank gaining a tempo for black if he can fend off the attack and go into an endgame; and B) tempting Nd2, which runs into Rf5, Qxg6 (Qh4+ Rh5, Qg4 Qxe7, Qxg6 and Qg5 winning the rook for bishop with a strong attack) Qf8 exploiting whites pieces getting overworked, how to cover the Rook, Knight will fall and f3 pawn looks dangerously weak.
6:45 -- I don't understand why black's bishop doesn't take white's knight on f3. If queen takes bishop, rook takes queen. If pawn takes rook, bishop takes queen. It's a bit aggressive, but it's what I would have done.
6:00 who doesn't knight just capture on h3? if g2xh3 bxf3
TheSFSkinny 3 days ago
At 8:00, the possible move series you give where white wins a pawn actually leaves the white knight on f3 unprotected.

What happens if White would play 43. Qxd6+ Qxd6 44. Nxd6?
Wouldn't it end up drawn?

just from what I know of the kid, ist c5 played much later? I think it should be noted that c5 was a little premature.

I'm curious as to why a variation involving Qxd6 wasn't shown. It would end up being Rook vs. Rook + Bishop no?

@Threepwoot At 6:42 if black takes the night white recaptures with the rook.
At 13:08 if bishop to f7 white has a big advantage:
1. ... Bf7?
2. Qh4+ Kg8
3. Ng5 (mate threat) Bg6
4. Rxg7+! Kxg7
5. Ne6+ (and black loses the queen)

@3:23- Can't black win a bishop for a knight? (...c5/ dxc6 Nxc6) and the bishop has nowhere to escape.
hraesvelgML 7 months ago
@hraesvelgML No because after c5, dxc6 and Nxc6, White wins the pawn on d6.

@SmellyJelly4MyBelly Black's bishop doesn't take white's knight on f3 because of rock on a3.

16:38 - What's wrong with Nc6+? Wouldn't that win a rook?
trulysociopathic 7 months ago
@trulysociopathic , Nc6 can be met with Rxc6,leaving black a couple of passers.
ankan064 7 months ago
@trulysociopathic Rxc6 dc followed by Qxe1 with check and black is a rook and a minor peace up.
MrinfinityLT 7 months ago
at 16:23 why not Rxf3? It looks like everything is defended of blacks and that there would be no devastating checks to black.
It appears like black would be up a pawn more in material.???

jsplayer18 7 months ago
@jsplayer18 Why would it be winning? It would just be exchanging equal pieces; the king and rook are guarding the knight.
LiiChinHo 7 months ago
@jsplayer18 no it isn't. The knight on f3 is defended enough... By the king and the sneaky rook on a3 :)
