There has been a lot more CO2 in the atmosphere in the past... also if you look into the wavelengths of light that CO2 absorbs you'll see that is for all practical purposes already at its "saturation point" as far as it absorbing all the energy it can from the wavelengths available to it.
Why doesn't the green movement focus on more damaging things like mercury pollution or littering then wasting resources on CO2 emissions... seems to me that it is more about power & money then anything else.

In sunny areas, solar is a great way to cut 75% of your energy costs in your home alone, the investment pays itself off. This is a product that can compete successfully in the free market. The sun has not changed for the last few million years and will not do for another few million so it is not the sun, it is us!

First of all landfills are NOT a problem, one single landfill about a square mile could hold all of our garbage for the next 150 years... then we could build a town on top of it, no problem... as far as bicycles go though the problem is is how our country is laid out, it is unlike any other as far as distances between places and the road system we have in place... the only thing that can change that is higher fuel costs.

solar energy has a little ways to go before it can be marketed in a lot of ways, they only have to comply with fire codes. In sunny areas, solar is a great way to cut 75% of your energy costs in your home alone, the investment pays itself off. This is a product that can compete successfully in the free market. There's absolutely no good reason to force it onto people.

yes plants do need CO2, but because we are cutting down alot of the rain forests and we are producing more CO2 on a worldly basis the amount of CO2 used by plants is less than the output of CO2 therefore we have an excess of CO2. this CO2 traps heat within the earths athmosphere and causes the world to heat up, in turn causing the ice caps to melt and sea levels to rise. The sun has not changed for the last few million years and will not do for another few million so it is not the sun, it is us!

get a bottle full of water then freeze it.
When that water freezes, it expands or occupies more physical space.
Since the Arctic is all ice and no land, that melting would REDUCE the phycial space the water occupies. Which means that if the icecaps were melting, the SEA LEVELS would DECREASE. Not increase.
If the globe was actually warming, more water would evaporate into the air which would reduce sea levels even further.
"Rising sea levels" is a hoax.

if people are sheep, these methods can be effective...if you give the impression that the other sheep are doing it...or if you convince them it is politically or fashionablly correct, the sheep can be manipulated. People don't have to be any less apathetic or ignorant or arrogant, they just have to think they have to emulate.
