@Skyn3tus Aye, it's a tad confusing, more likely it's a turn of phrase meaning that you're ready to die to protect the sepulcher. If you serve something even in death it usually means that your death contributed in some way towards serving that thing. I think this is what it means, though the undead option flashed through my mind as well.
