My god, a plane just crashed in our country and you're screaming to eachother ! Show some respect please for all the people who died and are injured !! And for the people that work in that industry . If a pilot is not good enough he's not even allowed to fly! so this one was obviously good enough to fly this aircraft!! Look for icing in this crash? I think it was icing which lead to this crash , where with idle descend for a long time in near freezing condition , its leads to sometimes slow response from the engines or sometimes ( in old 737 I dont know which is this ) to stay at last commanded position which in this case idle .

Turkish Airlines have one of the worst safety/accident records on the planet. Their planes aren't maintained properly and their pilots suck hard. That american pilot who landed in The Hudson River would have landed this plane safely too!: (

That American pilot was a.) incredibly experienced and b.) very lucky - remember, the Hudson River crash is the only water landing on record where there weren't even any serious injuries, let alone deaths.

It had nothing to do with him being American and I don't think that America is the best country in the world. I didn't say anything about this crash because people died, and I'm sure the pilot here did the best he could do. last accident before that was 6 years ago and that was rj-100 s fault. it seems that tower may be guilty on that accident. turkish airlines have very well maintaining and pilots are really very experienced this pilot had choosen "best pilot of the world" on time and he saved a lot of life t.a.l. make 500.000 flights in a year and t.a.l. is a star alliance member. by the way it has less accident statistic than much airlines

There's no real significance, because of the differences in the plane crashes that u may draw parallels between them, there's are no similarities between the crashes. Think of it this way, the more planes are flying the probability of them crashing goes up as well. This may have to do with the holiday season & economy. Either way, no real reasons not to go flying.

Statistically you are more likely to die in a car accident than flying. Of course if a plane crashes it is more likely to be covered in the news than a car crash which occur more regularly and therefore don't make better news.
