This song always tears me up. It reminds me of the Christmas long ago when my younger sister and I were still little and she received a toy piano. That was the same year my eldest brother came home for Christmas from Viet Nam. I remember that Christmas night, looking into the dark and seeing all the lights down the hill from our house and covering our little town. God was definitely with us.
This is my favorite Christmas song of all time. It is great to listen to every night before I go to sleep, to remind me that the redemption of man ,through such an available love that came at such a great price but is freely given because of what Christ did for us, all started on that silent night in Bethlehem.
By the end of this song, I am completely undone; it reminds me so much of my grandparents (with whom I spent so many happy Christmases) and my father (now five years gone). By Christ, I miss them all so much, and all the joy we all shared at the holidays.
But I wouldn't trade it for all the wealth on earth, I swear I wouldn't. Never.
I don't care how "politically incorrect" people say Christmas is. I love it and will celebrate it.

What a beautiful video. This version of Silent Night was used as the background for a 9/11 tribute. At a time when communists are imposing their anti-Christ attitudes on a counry founded on Judaism and Christianity, this is deeply needed to remind us that He was born, He died and rose from death so we coulc, and He reigns--always. Thank you, Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
