@lalunit i do actually, not abandoned but broken, on a farm in crawley, near guildford, the guy there used to be a rally driver but he broke it and now he's packed it in... actually he also has 2 mk1 escorts a mk1 lotus cortina, 2.8l V6 capri, 2 mustangs and 2 old galaxys :D but u dont believe me anyway
LOVE THIS CAR!!!! Great to see such an amazing car still in working order and not in some car collection not allowed to be touched or driven like it want to be. WHAT A MONSTER!!
This engine [and it's the 2litre+ EVO engines] are the ones that needed rebuilds after about 10 hours of racing [thats 10 hours of full throttle]
If you drove this car around off boost at 50mph everywhere, the engine would last 20 odd years.
The "they only last 10 hours" thing is for rally cars, autocross etc - any dumb cunt on the road it doesnt apply. These engines last plenty long enough on a road car.
@LIP15 Well I didn't mean to offend you, I was saying that With 1980's technology and with Such high horsepower output the cars' engine would simply deteriate the parts much quicker, thus causing the engine to fail! I understand and except that I could be wrong I was only asking a question so no need to be a dick about it.
@Lutroninstaller damn man yes it is and the second hand prices are super expensive right?i found this model cause i got a present a pc game, ford racing 3 i found this model ,search it, watch it love it ;) too expensive unless in USA are making some replicas?
Sounds like a modified 1.8 T engine but cant be sure. Thouse engines are one hell of a engineering art! But when brakeup repairing and new parts can cost a fortune.
lol its nutsinit......there was one on a american site the other week....1st ive seen for sale in a while....mint condition, only 14 miles on da clock.....................$480,000
piston heads website in the uk about a month ago there was one up for 75000 sterling with 12000 on the clock. but i have heard after 12 tho they need a engine and gearbox rebuild, which isnt cheap. also had a s1 audi 75000 and at the mo got a 6r4 65000. just imagine having a group B rally car on the road, nothing would touch it
What is the insurance like?

did your old engine blow up I hear the have something like 7-10hrs. of life?
Qnickel27 1 year ago
@Qnickel27 10 hours of constant throttle , do you know how hard that is to do without being on a track ?
chriserz94 1 year ago
@chriserz94 No I didn't mean constant throttle, but ten hours of running time is about all the engine can handle before parts start to fail.

@Qnickel27

@chriserz94 Thank GOD you have a brain and arnt taken in by the bullshite!
Too right, the 10 hour engine life "myth" is only applicable to competition cars, any road car would last YEARS!

BIGfart7 2 years ago
@ Bigfart7 indeed that is very sweet :D
This beast accelerates to 100 kph (60 mph) in 2,3 seconds. That faster then a f1 mclearen. He wipes a lambo out like it's nothing.
