  • @2:26 is the funniest part to me. The left LB literally runs away from the ball carrier to go chase the first guy. Guys going to block him looked confused as hell. haha.

  • soo blurry

  • coach first off great job!!! your kids look great out there. I'm getting ready to take over a head coaching position after this year for 10-12 yr olds. I plan on installing the double wing after reading Coach Wyatt's book and reading all the books he recommended. I have one question. On the non play side it looks like your G and T pull. Am I correct that the C is downblocking to the non play side and the TE is going down on hands and knees? Is that to seal that side from pursuit?

  • That's basically correct. You'll see after reading Wyatt's stuff.

  • that is what the double wing is good for, you dont need fast running backs. That is why double wing teams grind the clock so much is because they want to keep control of the ball. they figure if they have the ball you cant beat them... simple double wing philosophy... i would like to complament on the pullig gaurds they do a good job on almost or even all of the plays

  • The running back is really slow im the left blocker and i run faster than him!!!!

  • what was the kid in green doing must take gymnastics spilt 1:27

  • in response to what was that at 1:27....lol....COMEDY...lol

  • thanks dude im a running back on my team and my coach told me to check this play out

  • what the hell was that at 1:27??

  • Great job coach, we run the single wing at the high school level, went 11-2 our first year running it. Whose system dw do you use?

  • Thanks Coach, We mostly use Wyatt but I have so many pieces from other systems in that it's hard to tell who's responsible for what part. I use parts from Vallotton, Gregory, Markham, Murphy and some of my own.

  • Sorry, I know those are middle school kids but the RB needs more speed

  • Sure, bigger, faster, stronger, .....but as a coach I can tell you that you have to work with what you have and that certainly appears the case here.

  • yah criss cross is the most high scoring play in the double wing offense.

  • hey its ford this is my fav play to run

  • I love that offense

  • Something's been bugging me Dave...

Who is that strapping #32 making all of those monster blocks?

    8-)

  • this kind of reminds me of my senior year we ran the single wing offense. some call it the spinner back offense. that offense took us from a 1-9 team to a 9-2, first time winning a conference and district title in nearly ten years the next season. it was amazing.

  • Coach love the video!!!I'm installing dwing for the first time this year..I feel a little less nervous watching your team Thx again

  • Isnt this play more of a reverse than a counter?

  • Criss-Cross Counter is our name for it. Other systems might call it a reverse. Reverses usually hit outside. This play goes off-tackle.

  • Thanks for the reply coach! After posting my comment and watching the criss-cross play over and over, it dawned upon me that the play goes off-tackle, oppose to the outside. Thanks again...

  • I stand corrected!

  • That is quite simply awesome. How long have you been posting these kind of vid's on YouTube?

  • Well...Sir Josiah, I've been posting for about 4 months now. Just click on one of the places that say CoachCottrill and you can see more.
