IDK what all these people who want Robbie back are thinking, because Billy Greer has an excellent set of pipes! And he really does sound like Steve in his younger years. (pre-Power) I sometimes feel like the only Wheathead that would be upset IF Kansas completley reunited for 2012 (Walsh,Ehart,Williams,Livgren,Steinhardt,Hope) Because that means Rags and Billy would get the boot....
Hey Rick..off topic, but..do you have any idea where a pic is of one of the guy's bird tat?? It was online in a vid a few years ago (I think in one of Jeff's vids??) but now I can't find it anywhere. Any suggestions? And thanks again for posting these and responding to people who post... very kind of you, unlike others who ban you if you post on too many vids. God bless.
Send me a PM here on You-tube with your e-mail address and I'll send you seperate pics of Walsh,Williams,Hope and Robby with that tat showing. I don't think Livgren ever got one and I can't find a pic of Phil that shows his right forearm.
I agree that Billy Greer has a great voice! I've seen Kansas live twice with him, and he's great. Wish I could have seen them almost a month ago with Styx. What a show that would have been! Wanted to see Kansas last summer in Reno, but we were a week off.
The great Kansas. I think Billy Greer has a great voice. I feel the classical element is still there . And most of all it is there without the great Kerry Livgren. That really shows how all these members made the Kansas sound. It was never just Kerry's mind in there. Kerry had said many times he was just 1/6 of the band . This is great work my Kansas brother.
Correction Dave, my fellow Kansas fan...Kerry Livgren wrote "Look At The Time"! And all of the songs on the great "Somewhere To Elsewhere." I agree Billy Greer sounds great on it. Would have loved to have heard what Steve W. would have done with it though. But then again, it's not a Walsh-type song. As far as Kerry saying he was just 1/6 of the band, I think his being a Christian has fostered his humility. If you look through Kansas' writing credits, Kerry clearly carried the band as a writer!
@bernieanddesales I certainly do love Kerry's stuff, whether with Kansas or solo, but as far as the credit for writing in Kansas, I think Steve brought just as much to the table. They wrote well separately, and they also wrote well together. Frankly, I think their songrwriting styles were very complementary, and a big part of what made Kansas Kansas. Even Kansas without Livgren has done some really great stuff. I'm just grateful for ALL of it! :)

@xdanycobainx Agreed. Great voice. Just right for the song too. Too bad Steve lost a lot of his singing abilities by going down the wrong road.

What is up with You Tube? My comments above are at least a year old! Still love the song and Billy's vocal!

Really Excellent Vocals, Billy. Also reminds me of Kings X (who sometimes reminds one of The Beatles or Badfinger).

LOL, I don't know what's up with You Tube's comments. I posted my last comment above last August or so ago, and it still says one month ago!
I agree about the Beatles/Badfinger sound going on with this song. Still love this song!
